Highly satisfying sequence of 30 images covering the take-off of a Whooper Swan at Gruinart in Islay. The all-over white swan's body has been stained by the water of this rich peat bog, turning it golden. (I couldn't understand why I could not trace such a swan type, until the RSPB man explained about the peat.)

Islay is world-famous for its Whisky production, here stemming from peat streams flowing into each of the 8 distilleries on the island.
