Here is where everything starts. Water and steam are collected from boreholes up on the mountain and are brought down here. Steam and water are separated and used to power the turbines we saw inside to produce electricity. Hot water is a by-product of this process and is used for space heating in homes. Remaining water is put back into the earth to replenish the supply and start the process again.
