The Sentosa Express is a monorail system connecting the mainland of Singapore to the Sentosa Island. The line is operated as part of Sentosa by Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC).
The monorail system has 4 stations at 2.1km and takes about 8 minutes to travel from one end of the line to the other.
The Sentosa Express connects HarbourFront MRT Station at Sentosa station to other places within Sentosa such as the Resorts World Sentosa at Waterfront station, The Merlion at Imbiah station, and Beach Bus Terminal, the Palawan Beach, Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach at Beach station.
The Sentosa Merlion was demolished to make way for the new $90m themed linkway.
Right by the cable car’s Imbiah station was a large replica of the Merlion statue. The original is situated at Merlion Park, 1 Fullerton near the waterfront at Marina Bay.
But there’s more than just the gigantic statue on Sentosa Singapore, there’s also a virtual tour, as well as a gallery where you can learn all about the Merlion and it’s journeys. Unlike the merlion in the marina, you could actually climb up the one in Sentosa.
Fun for young and old.
For an intense swinging experience on the hanging bridge, I recommend late afternoon:).
Sentosa Island, Singapore.
Beaches in Singapore are a precious commodity and to increase the size of them and create some much needed coastal defence artificial islands have been constructed just offshore on the southern side of Sentosa Island
Sentosa Island offers stressed-out locals and probably also tourists a wonderful infrastructure to relax. Hotels, restaurants, pools, a skywalk, beaches with palms and much more. There is even “The Most Southern Point of Continental Asia”.
We wanted to spend a nice half day at the beach and swimming. Unfortunately, there was an oil spill during this time;(.
Palawan Island on some maps - off Sentosa's Palawan Beach. This islet is linked to Palawan Beach by a simple suspension bridge. It has two lookout towers, and there is a sign on the islet erected by the Sentosa Development Corporation declaring that it is the "southernmost point of Continental Asia". This may be disputed on the ground that the islet is not part of Continental Asia, as it is only linked to Sentosa by a bridge. Sentosa itself is connected to the main island of Singapore by a causeway, and Singapore is in turn linked to Peninsular Malaysia by a causeway.

it was a gloomy sunset at sentosa.
i thought i would do 1 exposure for the sky, 2 exposures for the rock, 1 exposure for the sea. digital blending on cs3.
no filters was used in any of the exposures. i did increase "in-camera" saturation & contrast in landscape mode.

Sentosa Island, known mononymously as Sentosa, and formerly Pulau Blakang Mati, is an island located off the southern coast of Singapore's main island. The island is separated from the main island of Singapore by a channel of water, the Keppel Harbour, and is adjacent to Pulau Brani, a smaller island wedged between Sentosa and the main island.
Formerly used as a British military base and afterwards as a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp, the island was renamed Sentosa and was planned to be a popular tourist destination. It is now home to a popular resort that receives more than twenty million visitors per year. Attractions include a 2 km (1.2 mi) long sheltered beach, Madame Tussauds Singapore, an extensive Cable Car network, Fort Siloso, two golf courses, 14 hotels and the Resorts World Sentosa, which features the Universal Studios Singapore theme park and one of Singapore's two casinos, the other being in Marina Bay Sands.
Sentosa is also widely known as being the location of the 2018 North Korea–United States Singapore Summit, where North Korean Chairman Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump met at the Capella Hotel located on the island. This was the first-ever meeting between the leaders of North Korea and the United States.
