• A ribbon of earth where sea meets land,
Windswept cliffs and dunes of sand.
The gulls cry out, the salt air sings,
Footsteps echo where the tide line clings.
Wildflowers nod in the ocean breeze,
And secrets whisper through ancient trees.
Each bend reveals a shifting view
Sky and sea in endless blue.
The path is narrow, time runs slow,
Where land remembers waves below.
Enjoy 👋
Logonna-Daoulas, entre l'île Grise et Porsisquin, à l'heure où l'équipe de France de handball en décousait avec le Danemark ... j'ai raté ça :(
That picture was shot while the French handball team were playing Denmark in the World Championship final ... I missed that :(

Pen Men, Île de Groix, Morbihan, Bretagne, France.
We woke early. Sun was out. Drove to Pen Men lighhouse.
Parked the car. Walked the path at the edge of the cliffs.
Nobody else there, just a man and a dog. And the gulls of course.

View from the coastal path (sentier côtier) at Beg Melen nature area.
Beg Melen and its surroundings are one of the best places on Groix island to watch cormorants, fulmars and gulls.

The wooden building is an abandoned SNSM rescue station (poste de secours SNSM fantome). It used to overlook a wide sandy beach (Les Grands Sables) but the sands 'walked away', the tides moved the beach in northeastern direction.
The SNSM is the 'Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer', the French sea rescue organization. The abandoned building was adopted by the Groix Nautical Club (CNG), although the club has no formal ownership.
The CNG calls the station on the rocks 'Le Château' (the castle).
On the coastal path (gr34) which goes around the island, this gentle slope towards the sea is overgrown with ferns. The backlighting forced me to do a bit of post-processing to lighten the vegetation, trying not to "burn" the sky and the clouds too much.
