Meet Kate,
A senior to graduate this 2011...
she is a fearless Soccer defensive Sweeper and a stunning model..
here we have her do a glam pose to show off her outfit in some alley..
Kate pulled the pose off like a pro..
we had to search for a cool spot for this pose.. and what i was looking for was some rim lighting.. i didn't carry but just one light with me tonight, so the rim light was a must when it is pitch dark outside.. one light isn't really enough..
mother boomed the quadra system with the 39 Deep Octa..
i had the light on the lowest power i think.. the sky port is very nice to work with.. and also the modeling lights on the quadra was a saver! i didn't have my speed lights on to auto focus and this modeling lamp worked like a charm..
i always forget that this lighting system has the modeling feature ! Duh!..

Warwick, Southern Queensland and it's early morning when we find a couple of seniors waiting for the bus. I am not sure if Haidley's Panoramic Coaches runs regular transport services or day tours from Warwick, its website is non-committal. I suspect the latter.
Anyway, let's hope this couple had a lovely day wherever they went, Toowoomba to the north for shopping perhaps or Stanthorpe to the south for some wine, cheese, olives, chocolates, fruit and all the rest the Granite Belt of Queensland has to offer.
A reception for Oberlin College’s Class of 2022 was held at the residence of President Carmen Twillie Ambar.

Megan Senior photos..
simple shot here
i have her laying on the steps near the courthouse in our town and this gives me a top down view of Megan
what this does is open her eyes and the light color concrete bounces light all over the place.
i have recently learned / stumbled across how to do this type processing..
i call it my WHITE PROCESS..
hopefully it works well for Megan..
her dad seems to like it..
looks like natural light.. but..
i did use flash on this shot some how.. that is what the data shows..

FlashOn, Fired
Did a shoot the other day of a friends little sisters coworker. Went to my favorite park here in Houston and took a whole bunch with natural light, just now editing and this is one of my favorites. <3 the colors.
One of the senior portraits we made for my niece, Cassidy, last night in El Dorado Hills, California.

Fairly obviously, I never got to partake in that classic high school girl ritual, the Senior Portrait. I have always loved those casual-yet-clearly-posed shots that aim to capture a sense of the spirit of a girl. So, now that a "senior" portrait has a whole different meaning for me (turning 62 soon!), I thought I'd try and capture that same essence...
(And yes, a professional photographer wouldn't have over-exposed these pics... but then, I'm no teenager *grin*)
From a recent senior session that was too much fun! I will be posting more from this session for sure!
Kinda wishing I used my wide angle for this shot as I get much cooler sun flare with it.
