It's been a good weekend. I just hope this can continue for more days ahead. Tomorrow we go back to the vet for a B12 shot.
Although it's been a good weekend, I've been having a range of emotions. I've felt angry that this is happening to this wonderful sweet angel. I've felt guilty that I did this. Maybe I could have fed him a better diet, or given him vitamins for the past few years, or taken him into the vet sooner, or any number of things.
For the glitter challenge - didn't use a TD image on this, but I did for the sketch card! Just gotta upload that. :)
I have had one of those huge "thuds" recently. It was an awards night at my school where I not only celebrated the success of my students but presented a bursary in memory of my Mom. My Brother, Dad and I posed for a photo with the recipient of Mom's bursary and I couldn't wait to post it on facebook .... until I saw it. I didn't like the way I looked at all. That night I felt confident and felt like I looked great but the photo I saw wasn't the way I looked in my head and I struggled. I metaphorically held my nose and posted the photo on facebook. It has over 100 "likes". Having a photo of myself with my family that I liked would have been the icing on the cake of a wonderful night, but that evening wasn't about me, my weight or what I look like. And even though I may not be able to love that photo of me, I can still love me and many other photos of me. There is definitely a voice that tells me I should try to look different in order to love every photo of myself but there is also a quieter gentler voice that tells me to love this body now.

The post offices in Spain are called "correos" (www.correos.es). In case you want to send a letter or a postcard you can buy stamps in any tobacco store and just dump it into one of these yellow mail boxes. (Don't use the green one, that is for the posts own use)

As her first proposal for the 2025 State of the State, Governor Kathy Hochul today proposed New York State’s first-ever Inflation Refund, which would deliver about $3 billion in direct payments to around 8.6 million New York taxpayers statewide in 2025. This new refund would send a payment of $300 to single taxpayers who make up to $150,000 per year, and a payment of $500 for joint tax filers making up to $300,000 per year. Today’s announcement is one of several proposals to help address the cost of living that will be unveiled as part of the Governor’s upcoming State of the State.

La fundación Servicios para el Desarrollo Alternativo del Sur (SENDAS) realizó un reconocimiento a la Ministra de Coordinación de la PolÃtica, Doris Soliz Carrión. El acto se realizó este viernes 18 de marzo, a las 18:00 en el Teatro Sucre, de Cuenca. Doris Soliz es una de las fundadoras de esta organización que desde hace 20 años impulsa polÃticas de equidad de género, de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos y del bienestar comunitario en general. This is the 'let it snow card' from our send:eco Christmas range 2008.
send:eco cards are specially designed to be sent flat like postcards eliminating the need for an envelope and therefore paper wastage. The address panel is printed in a way so that when the card is received it is folded along pre-creased lines tucking the address out of view and leaving the greeting in it's traditional place.
The card we do use is 100% recycled and printed on with vegetable based inks. Plus if thats not enough for every pack bought we donate 50p to the Sumatran Orangutan Society who help tackle climate change and protect Orangutans by planting trees in the diminishing rainforests of Sumatra.

Just inside the entrance is The Stone of Anointing, also known as the The Stone of Unction, which tradition claims to be the spot where Jesus' body was prepared for burial by Joseph of Arimathea. However, this tradition is only attested since the crusader era, and the present stone was only added in the 1810 reconstruction[30]. The wall behind the stone was a temporary addition to support the arch above it, which had been weakened after the damage in the 1808 fire; the wall blocks the view of the rotunda, sits on top of the graves of four 12th century kings, and is no longer structurally necessary. There is a difference of opinion as to whether it is the 13th Station of the Cross, which others identify as the lowering of Jesus from the cross and locate between the 11th and 12th station up on Calvary. The lamps that hang over the stone are contributed by Armenians, Copts, Greeks and Latins.
