Sunstones cat mint toys!
Thanks Amanda, Mudmapimages, for sending these Sunstones delightful toys to my tigers...I haven't seen them play with them yet, but I know they must because they are in a different position in the morning from the night.....They are really beautiful! I've had them for a few weeks, I was hoping to catch a photo of them at play with them. In the end I placed them with the kitties to get some nice photos....xxx

FutureCoast is a participatory storytelling game about climate-changed futures. In FutureCoast’s “authentic fiction”, the software system of the future has sprung a space-time leak, sending voicemails from different possible futures to the present as chronofacts. Since the leak is only in their voicemail storage, the people of the future take decades to get around to fixing it. Meanwhile, a team of Coasters decode these chronofacts and publish the voicemails so we get to listen to the messages that people leave for each other in the years 2020 to 2065 – by turns banal, jubilant, and mysterious.
In reality, the messages we are hearing have been created by people playing the FutureCoast game. We ask players to imagine a possible climate-changed future and then create a voicemail that someone left for someone else in that future. FutureCoast is thus a way to listen to diverse ideas about climate-changed futures and to be open to crowdsourced wisdom about them.
At the Games for Change Festival attendees were able to enter a FuturePhoneBooth in the Skirball Center lobby, where they can listen to different possible futures and even leave their own voicemail from a possible climate-changed future. The Coasters publish these voicemails to futurecoast.org with the tag G4C15.

Sendo bem honesta (he, he), comprei esse esmalte por causa do nome e do rótulo. Claro que ajudou ele ser lindo, mas a criatividade de cada vidrinho da Manglaze foi o fator que me fez querer muito um pra chamar de meu. O que são esses brilhinhos no sol?! *-* Muito amor. Duas camadinhas fáceis de passar, secou bem rápido, tudo tranquilo. Preferi não passar base porque algumas meninas relataram que às vezes racha, como os esmaltes foscos da Impala, daí achei muita mão passar base, cobertura fosca e esmalte. Foto tirada no segundo dia depois da esmaltação - na mão direita já tem umas microlasquinhas, mas nada alarmante, acho que vou dar um up nele amanhã com algum glitter.

Weston Bike Nights 05 May 2016
This weekly Thursday meet during the summer is based at the sea front in the sea side resort of Weston Super Mare, North Somerset, UK.
It is organised by the Riders Branch of the British legion, all bike donate £1 to enter and all proceeds go the charity The Poppy Appeal.
Images can be obtained for a donation of £5 per image, the full image will then be e-mailed to you.
Either send donation via paypal stating the images wanted to bikenightphotos@btinternet.com or send a e-mail to bikenightphotos@btinternet.com with your request and a paypal invoice will be e-mailed to you allowing you to make a secure donation via debit/credit card.
All proceeds will go to the charity being supported by the event The Poppy Appeal

O Barserikowi’i – Centro de Medicina Indígena recebe, sexta-feira dia 14 de julho, uma exposição de desenhos feitos por 20 indígenas, sendo a maioria mulheres, que estão em tratamento de saúde na Casa de Saúde do Índio (Casai), em Manaus. A exposição “Bem Viver na Casai Manaus – A arte como forma de cuidado”, com abertura às 17h. Com apresentação de danças indígenas e um show do cantor Marcelo Nakamura. A programação também conta com culinária indígena.
Os desenhos são resultado de uma oficina realizada na semana passada pelo artista plástico Diego Batista na Casai, que fica na rodovia AM-010, zona rural de Manaus. Os pacientes que participam da exposição são das etnias Marubo, Sateré-Mawé, Tenharim, Tikuna, Mura, Dessana, Tukano, Tariano e Arapasso.
A psicóloga Daniele Michiles é a idealizadora e organizadora da exposição. Ela disse que a técnica utilizada nos desenhos é a stencil e serigrafia em algodão cru. Os pacientes participaram de uma oficina com o professor Diego Batista.
Daniele trabalha na Casai há seis anos e decidiu realizar uma atividade terapêutica que ocupasse o tempo ocioso dos indígenas que estão em tratamento, longe de sua comunidade. Daí surgiu a ideia de fazer os desenhos.
“Na saúde indígena nós temos o programa de saúde mental. Dentro desse programa, a gente procura fazer atividades para promover o bem viver na Casai, tendo em vista que eles têm um tempo muito ocioso. Uma atividade como esta ajuda a diminuir o sofrimento deles e incentiva a recuperação”, disse a psicológica.
As mulheres são a maioria na exposição dos desenhos.
Conforme a psicóloga, atualmente há cerca de 380 indígenas hospedados na Casai de Manaus. Muitos deles moram no local devido a gravidade da doença. É o caso de pacientes que fazem hemodiálise.
“A atividade ajuda na recuperação dos pacientes. Eles ficam muito tempo na Casai. Sofrem com a doença, estão longe da família e ficam preocupados com os filhos. Como eles saem, o risco é que eles passem a beber”.
Segundo Daniele, a intenção de se realizar a exposição “Bem Viver na Casai Manaus – A arte como forma de cuidado” é mostrar o resultado da oficina com os indígenas e promover o diálogo intercultural com os-não indígenas de Manaus.
“No dia da exposição, todos os autores dos desenhos estarão presentes. Os trabalhos expostos poderão ser comprados”, disse Daniele. Entre os temas das pinturas estão grafismos indígenas e imagens do cotidiano.
O Bahserikowi´i – Centro de Medicina Indígena da Amazônia, foi aberto no dia 6 de junho no centro histórico de Manaus. O projeto foi idealizado pelo antropólogo João Paulo Barreto, indígena Tukano do Alto Rio Negro. O objetivo é fortalecer a identidade étnica, cultural e a organização social dos povos originários, além de ser uma fonte de renda para as famílias e comunidades.

The prom send-off party has become a big deal in Chicago, particularly on the South and West Sides of the city.
It's a chance for the prom couple to get their photos taken among family and friends and record a moment of transition in their lives. This prom send-off was for Nidalis and Ron, students at Lincoln Park High School.
