Since taking the challenge of learning a bit about high key for macro Mondays I think it will be a good idea to learn more about low key as well. I believe this image qualifies as a low key shot. However, it does not count as learning about low key, it was an accident :) The flower was highlighted by the sun and there were deep shadows all around it.
I'm not really sure what I would use low key images for on a regular basis but the high key images will be handy when I have something to sell.
Regardless, I never want to stop learning, even if it is just for the sake of learning.
Have a wonderful day and happy snapping.
♥ EXPLORE ♥.....2-25-09.....Best Position #11....THANK YOU FRIENDS!
I may not have to venture far for colors in the near future... like to Lowes or Home Depot, hahaha..... as I'm starting to see signs of Spring in my own back yard. These are crocuses that have come up in my flowerbed. They're really yellow, but I had fun "tweaking" them and this was the final result. Hope you like it.
If anyone wants to see the "before" version, there's a small version below in the 1st comment area.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY EVERYONE! ♥
Tullamore D.E.W. is a brand of Irish whiskey produced by William Grant & Sons. It is the second largest selling brand of Irish whiskey globally, with sales of over 950,000 cases per annum as of 2015.
The whiskey was originally produced in the Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland, at the old Tullamore Distillery which was established in 1829. Its name is derived from the initials of Daniel E. Williams (D.E.W.), a general manager and later owner of the original distillery. In 1954, the original distillery closed down, and with stocks of whiskey running low, the brand was sold to John Powers & Son, another Irish distiller in the 1960s, with production transferred to the Midleton Distillery, County Cork in the 1970s following a merger of three major Irish distillers.
In 2010, the brand was purchased by William Grant & Sons, who constructed a new distillery on the outskirts of Tullamore. The new distillery opened in 2014, bringing production of the whiskey back to the town after a break of sixty years.
In 2012, a visitor centre was opened in a refurbished bonded warehouse previously belonging to the original distillery. The centre offers guided tours and tutored tastings ranging from 50 minutes to 5 hours in duration.

I'm weak by your touch and when it's meltin' on my lips
A rush through my body, feel it in my fingertips
You selling me your fantasy that I wanna explore
Sounds so good, spoil me rotten to the core
Talk to me, take care of my dreams
All I need is you beside me
It's destiny, just let it be
Of the words you speak, baby, sell it to me
Sell me candy, sell me love
Sell me heaven, sell me doves
What's the charge? What's the cost?
Come to daddy, you the boss
Is it too late for me
To sell my soul unto the Devil
Is it too late for me to pray
That God keeps you alive
After living there since 1977, and buying it off the Railways in about 1989 when they divested themselves of their staff housing, Dennis is selling up and moving on. The house is being auctioned today. Apparently the agent said it'd fetch $800k easily. Happily someone parked a 1963 Morris Minor in front of it the other day.
Ask yourself: when you're on a trip and visit a place you've never been before, do you go to these souvenir shops to buy something that reminds you of that place? I usually do and what I always buy from the place I visit, is a shot glass. Aside from that, i find it interesting to browse through these memorabillia shops. Most people will think that they have cheap stuff or things of mass production with no character at all. However, some times you may find a few gems in them, something that is really local and traditional! for me, those shops feel like places that "sell memories".
PS: for those who will take a closer look at my photo, on the table of the very right postcard (taken at the island of Santorini) is a plate of "gemista" (rice stuffed tomatoes), a "village salad" and a piece of ... (my favorite) moussaka! :-)

Finished the Display down Kenfig today and to be honest it didn't go too great, didn't sell anything but I did have some nice feedback on some images, I am going to continue trying to sell them over the next few months. I am feeling a bit down about my photography at the moment but I think we all get like that from time to time. Hence the waterfall image :) they always make me feel better :P
to sell a dream than keep it real.
