I titled the book "Steam on Steel" but in my mind it will always be "A Week Too Late".
I had designed the book on my laptop, I showed my wife the layout and uploaded it to Blurb.com. She died on Feb 15 and the book arrived on Feb 19.
A week too late.

Martin Gillott, better known in the wrestling world as Jackie 'Glitterboy' Evans, knew early in his career that life in the ring would be no walk in the park. He was knocked out five times in his career - always by a furious fan, never by his opponent. Yet Martin loved the game, and wouldn't change a day of his 12-year professional wrestling career. this is the first page of a photocopied forty page publication of rants by an unknown person. a stack of them was left at ryerson university in downtown toronto. from the first sentence on the first page, i was hooked - i hope you are, too.
The tape presents the very first tracks recorded by this modern psych lonesome guitar hero during winter 09'. Four post-Earth (first period !) depressive magically skinned tracks repeated on both sides of the tape.

Monrovia’s favorite bear reached celebrity status when the news media and word of mouth told his story. When younger he roamed the local mountains living a normal bear life. Like many of us he grew older and life became more difficult. Garbage and a hot tub provided the easy life. His tired old bones were soothed by the warm water. Attempts were made to stop his Hot Tub visits. Sadly he ingested a plastic bag and became ill. Samson was a “Garbage” bear and no longer could be released in to the wild. Talk was that he had to be destroyed. Monrovians and the public rallied to his support. He was saved, but where would he go? Forest DeSpain director of the Orange County Zoo built an enclosure complete with a Hot Tub. Samson enjoyed his last days. He passed on to the Great Hot Tub in the sky on May 14, 2001

Perhaps the best issue of this punk hardcore fanzine. From the sick custom hand-drawn cover to the bands (rad line-up) to the cool layouts done by Josh Hooten. Tons of copies printed, too. 1998? My NYC apartment had boxes coming and going like UPS back then.
