Geoff Marshall is a You Tube vlogger who in 2017 made the national news headlines when he and partner Vicki Pipe travelled to every station on the UK National Rail network, 2563 in total, within the space of 3 months, a project known as 'All The Stations'. On June 21st, 2018, the longest day of the year they were on their travels yet again, this time making the longest journey possible one one single train in the UK, the 08:20 (1V60) Cross Country service from Aberdeen to Penzance with a scheduled journey time of 13 hours 23 minutes. I happened to be travelling on the same train from Edinburgh and had a chat with the pair, highlighting the merits of the All Line Rover ticket I was using, amongst other things. I alighted at Derby and Geoff took the opportunity to step onto the platform before the train departed for a photo opportunity and a goodbye wave to his followers. Vicki was elsewhere on the train, presumably chatting with fellow travellers. A member of East Midlands Trains train crew is pictured seizing a selfie opportunity with Geoff.
