Silence the surrounds to still the mind, to still the soul, to slow the pace, to breathe, just to breathe. When you've been one round with The Black Dog Bitch, it's exhausting. Every movement you make seems to Take. So. Much. Effort. You feel the pressure of the happy-smiley people and the fast-paced society. Hey, are you okay? Yeah, I'm okay. Not. Because it's too damn tiring explaining something to someone who doesn't get the bitch. You know. You know it's okay: it's OKAY to wrap yourself into your own swaddle of silence, to rest, to be still, to love only you. Everyone can take care of themselves until you're ready again.

Lots of us don't like our reflection when we look in the mirror ... but how many of us see a distorted image due to the pressure we face from airbrushed models? Food for thought!
Taken for 'Macro Mondays' theme of Obstacle. I find my biggest obstacle in life is the lack of self belief. The goal maybe be within fingertips reach, but self belief -or lack of it, often stops me getting there. -on the upside, maybe this photo set up will set as a reminder to maybe try a little harder for the day as its stained my finger and no matter how hard i scrub I can't get it off. I'm off to work very shortly, the kids at school are going to wonder what on earth I've done lol

Continúo con los gritos y lamentos que comencé a grabar en 2017. Como ya dije, lejos de querer que parezca una imitación de "Schrei X" de la diosa Diamanda Galás, estos gritos surgieron autoexplorando mi voz y a mí mismo y como alternativa para liberar estrés. Los efectos de sonido, Los efectos de sonido, que comencé a utilizar únicamente a partir del grito XXXVI, se limitan a aspectos como la reverberación o el eco sin que mi voz haya sido distorsionada o falseada, salvo en los casos especificados en los que hay varias voces superpuestas. Los autorretratos han sido escogidos al azar para no dejar una imagen en negro.
The fourth in a series re-interpreting works by modern scupltors in terms of human emotions and how they "speak" to me. This is inspired by a piece by Steinunn Thorarinsdottir, an extraordinary artist whom I was lucky enough to discover on a recent trip to Iceland. Taken for the ds2008 'Shifting Perspectives' calendar and touring exhibition. I asked the young adults how they saw themselves, what they liked, what they wanted etc. We then had lots of fun taking the photos.
