my attempt at lexi mire's self portrait therapy. it was quite fun to take, but when i uploaded the photos and tried to edit them....they came out horrendously.
i apologize for the lack of good uploads lately, in a deep and dark creative ditch.

Strobist info: Godox TT350 attached to lampshade. Strobepro X60 bounced off ceiling. Triggered w Godox XPro.
Self portrait, my first Strobist pool submission. Inspired by another strobist with similar equipment. I wasn't going for anything earth-shattering here, rather just trying to learn how to use my lights.

Camera right: Alien Bees B400 at full power, pointed at background (100" projector screen), 20 degree grid and blue gel. Triggered by Cactus V4.
Camera left: AlienBees B800 at 3/8 power, pointed at shirt, 10 degree grid.
Ring flash / fill: Rayflash and 430 EX II, 1/8 +0.7, 24mm, triggered by Cactus V4.
Taken with Samyang 8mm fisheye at 1/160s, f/16, ISO 100.
Messing around with my 55-200mm lens today in the garden, I got a bit wind swept + was squinting in most of the photos cause it was rather sunny. :')

A friend tagged me in one of those silly Facebook games. This one challenged those of us tagged to post a black and white photo of ourselves. I NEVER play those games and rarely post photos of myself anywhere. Or even take photos of myself at all. Mostly because I am scared of what I will see and what I won't like about it. And about the criticism I imagine folks will have about it. I know that I need to get over this and fully accept who I am. So here I am...this is the photo I posted in that silly challenge. In my quest for a more realistic look I can find myself being a little self defeating.
In this instance and with the whole growing my own hair experiment I have noticed that I have aged a lot. OK not that bad I know and we all age. But with a full wig and full makeup I can look 40 something as opposed to looking 50 something .
I know that's vanity playing its part. the question is at what point do I revert back to wig and makeup? if I don't then how do I move forward especially in the hair department.
would hormones help and if so is that going to change who I am. If I go down that route am I heading for a permanent change. how do I go about it??????
