It's not very often that I'm in the photo since I'm usually the one behind the camera. I was using my husband as a guinea pig the other night while I played around with the flash and had to laugh when I realized that I'd caught myself in the photo too.

So yesterday I had to come to terms with the fact that the trip was over. I'm still processing every sight I've seen, internalizing the experience. I realized exactly how much growth I've experienced in such a short time, and to reflect on the images I came home with is a huge deal to me. I've got so much left to share, and I hope you'll enjoy living vicariously through my experiences.

This is my reflection, the reflection of my house, a tree seen through the see through marble and the wire that wraps around the marble. It's a wind chime.
On my way home with Matty, the traffic was terrible! So I used the time I had to play around with his camera again! Love it!
Just started snapping photos out the car window and liked the way the fence lines led up to the mirror.
There's a big antenna on the roof, and this little b&w TV--which I haven't turned on. I understand it might come in handy if another tornado starts heading this way. Hopefully I won't have to find out....

A self-portrait. Instead of expressing myself by drawing myself or creating a sculpture of myself, I used all kinds of reflective materials to create a mirror. I wanted to reflect my inner self through visual reflections that are distorted and cringed. The mirror shows myself with broken, wrinkled, and crippled images.
