There's a big antenna on the roof, and this little b&w TV--which I haven't turned on. I understand it might come in handy if another tornado starts heading this way. Hopefully I won't have to find out....

A self-portrait. Instead of expressing myself by drawing myself or creating a sculpture of myself, I used all kinds of reflective materials to create a mirror. I wanted to reflect my inner self through visual reflections that are distorted and cringed. The mirror shows myself with broken, wrinkled, and crippled images.

Drip dry this lost ardor.
Wipe clean, squeak with polished glare.
Stare down.
View this face, this reflection.
Examine the feature.
Know vigor not distinguished by most.
But there.
All there.
Protection builds itself,
for herself,
by itself.
By herself.
Relish in a song of verve,
amble down her streets.
Beaming, laughing, knowing.
The reflection never changed, but she did.
