Again I took a photograph similar to that from my 1ts shoot to relate it to the work of Lee Friedlander his reflection self-portraits. This was in a small village we walked through whilst trying to find our destination.
Did this for a photo swap challenge at TSL.

For these pieces I decided to experiment with photoshop in response to the idea of self reflection. I chose to layer the face and body in order to convey the constant obsession for perfection.

~ The Essence of a human is not a simple set of relationships but an ensemble of relationships. ~
Asking myself the question, "Who am I?" accompanied a great deal of self reflection. Two ways in which I did so was first off by creating my artworks, the time I spent creating was also time I spent thinking. The other place I did so was the beach and along the coast. The beach is a place of serentity and calmness that allows me to not feel so overwhelmed by all my questions and thoughts.
The colors I use reflect how I felt reflecting at the beach mostly during hot summer afternoons. The warmth of the sun and bright blue of the ocean reflecting onto the sky.
Sitting in the passenger seat of my mother's car, I suddenly realized the opportunity I was presented with and promptly rolled the window down. From my home to the destination (my sister's school) I took approximately four shots. This one was my favorite.

Today I worked myself up over what I thought was the expectations of others, but turned out to be simply the expectations I had for myself.
I feel like life right now is about trying to figure out who the real "me" is when you peel away the labels that have become attached to the person I am---co-worker, roommate, friend, sister, daughter...etc.
It appears I still have some self-reflecting to come...but what better space to do it than the 365?
