Not sure what to say about this. Instead, I'll talk about my day.
I went to work this morning. Got a pizza from Subway for lunch. Got sick about half an hour later. Got off an hour earlier than expected. Beat Justin home. He came home, we went to Chick-Fil-A. Was sick by the time we got home. He packed up his crap, and left for the weekend. I removed most of my clothes and reclaimed the spare bedroom as my "studio room" and took pictures of myself.
Now I'm going to go eat ice cream and watch TV in my underwear. Why? Because I'm home alone, and that means I can do whatever I want.
Ah, check it: my tattoo was featured on www.tattooconfidential.com/!
eeks! no makeup .. just outta the shower...am I losing my mind....totally blown highlights from the flash...throwing caution to the wind. I like the shot anyway! ;-D Look..even Calista thinks grandma is nuts! Really it isn't too bad .. except for the blown highlights...! maybe?
I hate having my picture taken. I'd rather be behind the camera. I guess this was a solution. Owen as completely out of it for the shoot, which was probably better for holding him one-handed.

Coming back from 85 degree weather to the mid 40's in Pittsburgh is really depressing. Add in the fact that I had no sleep just made me yearn for some comfort food/drink. So hot chocolate with marshmallows it was made upon getting into work yesterday morning.
I thought Lisa had a great idea with ( www.flickr.com/photos/lisak24a/4618789412/ ) and decided to do it for my 365 today. I ended up forgetting my Fujifilm A 345 despite my reminders to myself not to forget. So, in total, 3 digital and 3 film cameras.
This magazine collage was an assignment for one of my architecture classes in college. The project began with us all having to go to the photo booths in the mall and take shots of ourselves. We then had to take that and create a magazine collage that reflected us on the inside as far as thoughts, feelings, etc... The finished product is us on paper both inside and out.

I'm trying to enter each monthly round of the APOY competition this year, and next month is 'Street Photography', so I thought I'd head to Spitalfields Market with the LX3 and see what I could do.
Which turned out out be nothing, as I had no confidence to take any people shots at all. So I took the easy option and pointed the camera at a building instead - they don't look back at you..
Fair play to those that get great results from their street shooting - braver than me..
Also, looks like I knocked the aspect ratio switch on the LX3 to 4:3, hence the odd shape of this one...

SELF-REFLECTION
On the Rorschach test, when people often comment about the symmetry of the inkblots, it is a sign of their being introspective and self-reflective. For this image, I found it amusing to think about a cow contemplating itself. I choice a square format to convey the idea of an introspectively boxed-in bovine, with the enclosed fence reinforcing the idea of that dilemma. The religious statue in the background, which straddles the symmetry, suggests a solution to the cow's predicament.
Although I created this image by duplicating, flipping horizontally, and reconnecting the photo to itself, you'll notice that not everything on the right side is symmetrical to the left. Perfect symmetry feels very predictably static, while symmetry that is a bit "off" makes the eye wonder and wander.
This shot was taken on the coast of Ireland.
