I found a reason to put this in my blog.

I'm trying to enter each monthly round of the APOY competition this year, and next month is 'Street Photography', so I thought I'd head to Spitalfields Market with the LX3 and see what I could do.
Which turned out out be nothing, as I had no confidence to take any people shots at all. So I took the easy option and pointed the camera at a building instead - they don't look back at you..
Fair play to those that get great results from their street shooting - braver than me..
Also, looks like I knocked the aspect ratio switch on the LX3 to 4:3, hence the odd shape of this one...
The Easter week at Shree Peetha Nilaya was blessed with blue skies, warm sun, and flowers and trees blossoming everywhere. Everything seemed to reflect the theme of new beginnings. Easter is an intense focus on God and God's plan, and everyone present honoured and celebrated this through scripture, song, self-reflection and community. Finishing with the traditional midnight/early morning singing and dancing, and the ever-popular Easter Sunday lunch, it was a powerful way to recognise spiritual transformation and a new understanding of life.

On someone's suggestion I came down to Mooney's Bay, by myself.
Then suddenly I came up with an idea to just put the camera down and take a shot of me in this state, whether it focused on me or not. I think it looks just fine, if not better, focusing on the grass.
The idea of self-reflection is quite true: for instance, I don't have school, no job, and no friends at all to hang out with. My whole life is ahead of me.
Mooney's Bay is perhaps one of my most favorite places in this city. Unfortunately I couldn't stay long - I had to get all the way back home, about 14.94 km away. If I had my way I'd have gone swimming, right there. It's a sandy bottom, no sea weed, and the water is beautiful.
It's kind of lonely there too. That's how I feel anyway. Man, the grass did a good job, I love this composition.
SELF-REFLECTION
On the Rorschach test, when people often comment about the symmetry of the inkblots, it is a sign of their being introspective and self-reflective. For this image, I found it amusing to think about a cow contemplating itself. I choice a square format to convey the idea of an introspectively boxed-in bovine, with the enclosed fence reinforcing the idea of that dilemma. The religious statue in the background, which straddles the symmetry, suggests a solution to the cow's predicament.
Although I created this image by duplicating, flipping horizontally, and reconnecting the photo to itself, you'll notice that not everything on the right side is symmetrical to the left. Perfect symmetry feels very predictably static, while symmetry that is a bit "off" makes the eye wonder and wander.

Looking in on a moment of self-reflection.
It's amazing. Sometimes she just doesn't even see the camera...
With the anniversary fast approaching, I found myself looking back to my wedding day and got out some of the stuff I wore that day. I envisioned this picture little differently ,but,it was hard to do it when I was both the photog and model.Well, guess I like how it turned out too :)
So today, in addition to saying "yay" to us, I wanna bow down to all those who do wonderful 365 selfie projects!!!

Portrait of Marilyn and I reflected in the shiny steel skin of Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
I'm not that keen on being in front of the camera, but I kinda liked this shot. The shot after this was a little strange, I looked to have another face on my hand? Weird!
My Tigers are in town tonight to play the Royals. Getting my shots out of the way now (and minus any messy makeup) so that we can go to the game and enjoy some beer, hotdogs and baseball. Hope everybody has a great Friday evening!

Ces cheveux d'or…
