Macro Monday! - Fingertips

Weekly Theme Challenge - Reflection

#61 Explore 04.08.21

Could've done better with stabilization, but GR3 costs an arm, leg and a kidney... =)

I am glad to see another year in life and another year of self reflection. With all the ups and downs 2019 had produced I thought I wouldnt have made it. I dont want to get too sentimental but remember to love yourself kiddos and that no matter what you cant be anyone else but yourself. Stay You! - Kailani <3

HUG POINT BEACH OREGON

Alone in her thoughts, she continues on our walk.

Yesterday while mowing the lawn I finished listening to "When Breath Becomes Air" for the second time. Nothing like bawling your eyes out while walking behind a power mower. The book is such a beautiful testament to figuring out how to live a meaningful life. Paul Kalanathi, the author, was a brilliant man and I am grateful he found meaning and drive to share his story. Start today and examine your life, where do you find meaning and purpose? No one can define your values for you, this takes work, time, and self-reflection. It's like the quote “The trouble is, you think you have time” from Jack Kornfield's Buddha's Little Instruction Book we skitter away our time mindlessly. Today I slowed down, breathed, sipped tea and enjoyed the sunlight in the crisp morning air.

Bald Eagle standing in the the water, looking at its own reflection and possibly waiting for fish to pass by. It was the first time for me seeing a bald eagle almost half soaked.

Getting their feathers all wet is a big no-no for bald eagles, since they instantly loose their ability to fly, becoming prey for other predators.

An unloved property found as it was left.

At night, Ponte Vecchio stops being just a bridge and turns into a quiet reflection of itself.

You are part of this universe,

as much as the planets,

as much as the stars

You are not a spectator,

You are not looking in from the outside,

You are the inside looking at itself.

Know that you are both

the viewer and the view;

this is the deepest self-reflection
