A Lesser Yellowlegs stares into the sunset-bathed water of the Maumee River, seemingly looking at his own reflection.

well what do you think friends?

Anxious to see the reborn Owens Lake, I headed up into the Inyo Mountains hoping to get a view from above with the snow-capped Sierra Nevada behind. From a high up campsite, we watched as some storms broke on both sides of the valley, snowing for a time on us. As the storm cleared the crescent moon was revealed and the dim light illuminated the valley just enough to make out the landscape. On the far side US 395 had a steady stream of travelers traversing the magical landscape. I decided to do something I very, very rarely do, and I wondered out in front of my own camera to help with the sense of scale.

Cause sometimes, you just feel tired. Feel weak. And when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you. You gotta find that inner strength, and just pull that shit out of you. And get that motivation to NOT give up and NOT be a quitter. No matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

The heat in the summer of 2023 was cruel in Japan's capital. Nevertheless, we set out to explore the city and found the reflection of the "Tokyo Station" building in the golden light of the later afternoon. To get the building completely on the photo with as little distortion as possible, a panorama of several individual shots was necessary.

I am done with high school in 3 days. It's crazy to think that I'll be done. It's all one ever really knows at my age; schooling pre-k thru 12th and the short summers in between.

new leaves are being turned and my heart is ready.

Things might be tough for me right now but that doesn't mean I still can't smile when I remind myself of how brave I've been and how far I've come.

My friend Myra set up a mirror for people to test out the mirror effect using Firestorm.

recently I've been analyzing too many things. Do you have days like that when you can't stop thinking of things you better not think about? Like what the future holds and other stuff.

Self-portrait playing with light from a lamp and the traffic lights coming through my blinds in the background.

Sometimes life is about self-exploration especially when one is going through a time of transition and change. I have been trying to decide what's up with the random self-portraits I've been doing since they are not particularly about being vain or showing off (which secretly I felt insecure about everytime I posted them). They are partly because life is busy, and in the evening when I finally get home there are only so many photography subject to take photos of. However, I am realizing after some self-reflection that they are about trying to re-learn who I am as just me. So here's one with hair a mess and no make-up. No smile because it's about looking looking backward, and self-reflecting for better or worse. This one is just me.
