There are a select few Lions who are willing to risk life and limb in the name of Longview Pioneer Lionism. Lion Keath Huff became the most recent inductee at this year's Spaghetti Feed, due to a rare trip to the emergency room for a second degree burn to his finger. Despite the painful setback, Lion Keath was treated and back to working the event before anyone knew it. Thanks for your dedication to our club Keath. The only other member to visit the emergency room in recent Pioneer Lion history, was Lion Josh Claypool. He thought he could pound a beer garden fence post into the ground with his bare hand. This is a memorial to those select few who were beheaded inside the walls of the Tower. These unlucky souls weren't publicly beheaded because the beheaders were afraid they would gain crowd sympathy. Among these are Lady Jane Grey (crowned at age 15, beheaded less than two weeks later) and Anne Boleyn.

I've dug into iPhone photos quite a bit in the last few months. Part of it has to do with not carrying my SLR every day anymore, since I finished last year's 365 project. The iPhone has been serving as my fallback camera for those days that I can't or don't feel like carrying the big camera.
I'm loving it as a complement to the SLR so far. I've settled on about 90% shooting in black and white, and almost all of that with Hipstamatic and a select few lens and film combos in the app. It seems to excel in harsh light, where I have the most difficulty with the SLR, and I've surprisingly managed to get some good shots from the street at night.
I went out for a walk across the City this weekend, carrying way too much SLR gear, and my iPhone. Several miles and neighborhoods later, I think I came out about even between the SLR and iPhone for photos that I like.
Looking down Church Street, Great Malvern. For those select few of you who are Elgar fanatics, the brick bldg on the right use to house the architectural firm that hired Elgar's good friend, Arthur Troyte Griffith (variation VII [Troyte]) of the ENIGMA VARIATIONS. The town is built against the slopes of the Malvern Hills, and one can glimpse a bit of the Severn Valley in the far background.
Night out with my Dad & his wife, who travelled all the way down to Wales from Scotland for the opening of Pizzorante. This was a pre-opening dinner my brother and his co-team organised for a select few!
