Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the death of Bob Marley; a very sad memory. Early in the evening, I was in Chelsea to attend a dance event (see photo of Rachid Ouramdane in my photostream) . I looked up and saw this publicity panel using Marvin Gaye's face, with the caption "Never blend in." It's a gorgeous portrait of Marvin (who died April 1, 1984 under tragic circumstances) , but I was disgusted to see his image being used for commercial purposes. I was taking pictures of Marvin up on the wall, full of outrage.

Then I thought, "But perhaps there's a positive side, perhaps our remembering him thus is a way of honoring his memory." Suddenly, a young man walked by with this enormous "bouquet" of green, red and yellow (gold) balloons, with Marvin himself supplying the black = the colors of the Rasta "rainbow"! Did someone order them for a Marley tribute party? We'll never know, but the coincidence was truly incredible...
