Since she joined the project, her business has been growing exponentially. She has recruited
12 women employees including two nutritionists, and her products are now available in more than 70 pharmacies across Lebanon.

The technique of image segmentation using convolutional neural networks (CNN) has been employed in satellite data imagery for the analysis of the roads before and after the occurance of floods. The automated methods using satellite data is an innovative idea for flood area analysis rather than traditional methods of acquiring data through airplanes, which minimizes the monitoring costs and allowing adequate preparation to floods to be undertaken. In this case, SAR satellite data are used as simulator which is then applied to LiDAR data to create maps that have shadowing that are positioned to allow double scattering curves. Variations in the curves allow change detection to demonstrate where flooding is occurring. To detect the imagery anomalies in the flooded roads, the KWOK’s Model has been demonstrated to be a highly useful model for this type of segmentation. Here the KWOK’s Model compared road segmentation on pre-flood satellite imagery against post-flood satellite imagery to detect road changes shown in red.
