I have been listening to Chase Jarvis interview Austin Kleon this morning about his new book Keep Going, here is the link to the video if you are interested youtu.be/AvUELPpj63s . I have read Austin's first two books and have his new one on my list to pick up. I know of Austin because of Chase and appreciate all of the wisdom the two share. Thanks to those who are changing the world!
This little friend was playing hide and seek with me until I could finally get a photo :-D.
Another beautiful day hiking at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, Portland. Oregon.
Out for the day in eastern Oregon, and you can't be out there without doing some light caving. I am trying to work people into my images a little more and thought this would be a great opportunity. This is a three image blend, just to get some detail in the rocks and tame the highlights. Let me know what you think. This is in Arnold Ice cave BTW.

Cypress tree roots that have been exposed by ravaging floods seek deeper pools for sustenance.
It is said that each tree drinks 600 gallons of river each day. Not so much in the winter when they are dormant, but when they put on new needles in the spring the river level drops considerably.
When I spotted David Bowie peeping out of a box at a book stall underneath Waterloo bridge it seemed almost as if he was playing hide and seek with those browsing the books and artworks. Canon EOS 6D & EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4.0L @ 80mm & f/4.0, 1/90 sec & ISO 200

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is rightly proud of its set of restored LNER teak carriages. On the occasion of the NYMR Autumn Gala, Class 9F loco 92134 is seen hauling them past Fen Bog in glorious light en route from Pickering to Grosmont. 23rd September 2022.
Routin Linn is one of Northumberland's hidden gems since it is located away from any centres of population or major roads. But it is worth the effort seeking it out, which is what I did last Friday after we'd had a quite a lot of rain. I wasn't disappointed.
I also took a short video - here flic.kr/p/2pHG1fn
“One day the sun glints through the pines, and the heart is pierced in a moment of beauty and strange pain, like a memory of paradise. And after that day, at the bottom of each breath, there is a hollow place that is filled with longing. We become seekers without knowing that we seek….”
