“Dark, rich, beautiful, seductive and wonderful” is a well-put description of the photographic world of Guido Mocafico – my personal favorites being his Serpens, Medusa and Stilleven collections. What I like most about his Serpens and Medusa collection is the simplicity of composition and theme: Nature does all the hard work, Guido Mocafico simply displays that work in a plain black frame, emphasizing the astonishing details of nature’s creatures that we otherwise might have never noticed.
