In my quest to see if it was worth paying $40 for a tube of slutty lipstick, I attracted three brown guys and an alarmingly thin gentleman.
Brown guy #1 waited outside our window until Kris left to get a drink before coming in to tell me, "You should be in photos." I laughed awkwardly and reminded myself to never travel alone without a dangerous weapon.
Brown guys #2 and #3 hooted at me from a truck as I walked my dog. It made me feel like a cheerleader that had just been sodomized by the entire football team.
The last gentleman, who could have played the protagonist in Stephen King's "Thinner," rather cleverly pointed out how my earrings, drink and lipstick were all the same hue. "You must be a very passionate person!"
With a completely straight face I replied, "Yes.. yes, I am."
Crap lighting and even worse photography. Sorry about that. Still, they used real swords, which gave the otherwise charming LARP a vicious edge.
