If only it really looked this nice in person. I spent an hour in Photoshop "repairing" broken windows, patching plaster cracks, deleting wires, street signs, security cameras, and algae. If only it took an hour's labour in real life to clean up the scene.
I love the pose of this crow, who had just removed another crow from this position on top of the neighbour’s security camera pole. It immediately took this posture with planting one of its claws on the camera which is jutting out of the platform and it was certainly saying this is mine and I am king/queen of all I survey. I certainly like the silhouette against the mottled sky.

I wish you all a wonderful and very Happy Caturday !!
I capture this in camera shot of the gull perched on the security camera watching the crowds below on the promenade.
The moon was rising in the sky and was visible enough to align them.
Security camera mounted outside of an apartment building, checking me out as I shoot it with my camera.
We could see this yearling bear raiding our "bear-proof" garbage cans via security cameras as we were returning to our cabin. even having us drive up the driveway didn't totally scare him off. He took a couple of laps around the blackberry bushes, had himself a good scratch on the thorny canes, and then strolled leisurely down the mountain.
The scan doesnt do it justice. Its E100VS, my favorite slide film. Its less magenta and more Orange.
This is city hall again, I tend towards an aesthetic as its the way I see. Ill try and use the entirety of the viewfinder image to fill with a scene and I will turn and tilt the camera and my head until i get both the scene, and the aesthetic I want. I like the concept of vanishing point and perspective, you will see that in my compositions. I dont necessarily think out an image in advance, but I do know from years of experience how a certain kind of scene will look, in advance, from a description, and from there it gives me a visual marker to work with when I am actually in the scene.
I believe, that in order for images to actually work or perform a function of memory entrapment, a visual aesthetic is essential, everything from that point onwards follows. This aesthetic is achievable via cropping an image and for a news situation, for instance, where visual aesthetics are less important then content, the same applies; once the content is achieved then the aesthetic can be applied.
This image was for a piece on security and the concept of the watchful eye being watched itself perhaps directly or indirectly.
Incidentally I could not be seen my the security camera directly but via reflection I could see it.
This was near a boat ramp near the downtown marina in Bar Harbor.
Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island in Hancock County, Maine, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population is 5,235. Bar Harbor is a popular tourist destination in the Down East region of Maine and home to the College of the Atlantic, Jackson Laboratory, and MDI Biological Laboratory (Salisbury Cove village). Prior to a catastrophic 1947 fire the town was a famous summer colony for the super-affluent elite. Bar Harbor is home to the largest parts of Acadia National Park, including Cadillac Mountain, the highest point within twenty-five miles (40 km) of the coastline of the Eastern United States. The town of Bar Harbor was founded on the northeast shore of Mount Desert Island, which the Wabanaki Indians knew as Pemetic, meaning "range of mountains" or "mountains seen at a distance." The Wabanaki seasonally fished, hunted and gathered berries, clams, and other shellfish in the area. They spoke of Bar Harbor as Man-es-ayd'ik ("clam-gathering place") or Ah-bays'auk ("clambake place"), leaving great piles of shells as evidence of this abundance. In early September 1604, French explorer Samuel de Champlain ran aground on a rock ledge believed to be just off Otter Cliffs, and when he came ashore to repair his boat he met local natives. Champlain named the island Isles des Monts Deserts, meaning "island of barren mountains"—now called Mount Desert Island, the largest in Maine. Mount Desert Island (often abbreviated MDI), in Hancock County, Maine, is the largest island off the coast of Maine. With an area of 108 square miles (280 km2) it is the 6th largest island in the contiguous United States. It is the second-largest island on the Eastern seaboard, behind Long Island and ahead of Martha's Vineyard. According to the 2010 census, the island has a year-round population of 10,615, although it is estimated that two and a half million tourists a year visit Acadia National Park on the island. The island is home to numerous well-known summer colonies such as Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor.

The East State Penitentiary which opened in 1829 is an amazing place to visit and of course capture images. The architecture of the prison and the view from the cells were second to none. The image represents what we would call closed circuit security cameras, mirrors that enabled guards to look down hallways while standing in one spot.

Security cameras everywhere you look at. I am not sure if I should feel more comfortable and safe or beeing watched at every step that I do.
Have a great day, folks.
I had a lot of fun building this. I'd really like to build more life sized every-day objects like this one. It can swivel on it's wall-stand, and face up or down. But it isn't the strongest thing I've built. I attempted to hang it in the corner of my room... Let's just say you can't hang it. It took about 3 hours to build, and another hour after the great fall of Rome. And after destroying it for a build I'll be posting tomorrow for pieces, I realized that I couldn't build what I had planned tomorrow with all the pieces after destroying the entire thing. So I spent another two hours rebuilding it... So a "quick" 6 hour build....
Don't worry, I'll still be posting the mystery object tomorrow,(It's a weapon! I'll give you that hint) so stay tuned!
