A well fought race throughout, MacKenzie pulled away with about 300m to go and finished very strong with a 4:49 time.
From here it's just a matter of navigating a muddy, ploughed field to reach the scarp slope that takes me through woodlands in full autumnal colours to Woodchurch and a warm welcome at the Six Bells. Open fire, wing-backed chair and a pint with my thoughts X
After stopping at the Lava Field in Idaho, we continued up US-15 into Montana and stopped at the Clark Canyon Reservoir Rec area. This was the sight of Lewis & Clark's Camp Fortunate (now under the lake) where they met up with members of Sacagawea's tribe, including her brother, Chief Cameahwait, whom she had not seen in 5 years. In the late afternoon sun & light, the water was truly this amazing color blue!

This restaurant changed its name to Section (3) after Robert De Niro threatened to sue them in 1999 under Section (3) of the British Columbia privacy act for being called De Niro's Supper Club. They closed in 2012.
This was supposed to be the crossing place over the A2070 but not only has the gate and styles been broken but brambles and sloe hedges grow on either side of the road making using the path impossible! Yet another detour. Worse still a footpath from Johnson's Corner across the marshes south of the Royal Military Canal to Bridge Farm that takes me directly to Kenardington has been wiped off the map? So my choice is to circle back via Sedbrook or walk down the side of "Death Road!" Well I am still here!

A CNS runner collapses after crossing the finish line of the 3000m run at the NYS Section 3 Championships.
MacKenzie doubled on the day, winning the 2000m steeplechase in addition to the 1500m. She is on the left, first out of the water on the first lap.
You know when girls get really bored and they are all "Wanna see what's in my purse?" and they pour it on the table and sift through tons of random stuff and you are all "I didn't even say yes."? Yeah, well that's what I did, except with my backpack.
It's actually pretty tame, since I've been walking to school.

Not surprisingly, FM placed 1-2-3 in the NYS Section 3 Championship - Class AA. What was surprising was this was early in the meet and the girls 'cruised' to this finish since they each had other races to compete in later in the meet. They are the cross country National Champs from the fall 2006 season. A great crop of talent that is very well coached.

Later, he commanded TF-38 during the drive into the Philippines, the capture of Okinawa, and the surrender of Japan. For this command, he received the Navy Cross. McCain died September 6, 1945 as a vice admiral but was posthumously promoted to admiral the same year by a joint resolution of Congress. He is buried in Section 3 in grave 4356, the same section as his son, Adm. John Sidney “Jack” McCain Jr., who is in grave 4001-A.
