Conformational Change.

An installation by Selavy Oh 4 Per4mance MetaLES, curated by Ux Hax

june 2012

5000 white columns form 5 cubes. A fantastic installation to see and when you fly through the cubes, it causes the columns to change position.

A Tower construction 1000m high made of 7 twisted Tetrahedrons 150 x 150 x 150 @ LEA 7. Housing LEA MAC the LEA Media Arts Centre run by Lapiscean Liberty from aviewtv.com.

On the inside you find the MoMAC archive of monthly machinima's, The LEA archive (under construction), Cinéma, Workshop, Green- & Blue key studio's, White- & Black out studio's, MAC office, Virtual studio's A B C & D. MAC also leads the LEA Theatre. For more info or reservations contact by IM Lapiscean Liberty.

A swarm of cubes after the Cube Project.

In a short period when the LEA AIR sims where free for a night and a day, i could test some more Cube swarms.

I didn't keep count but in total i used 7500 prims / 12 = 625 cubes = 5 x 5 x 5 x 5. Here you can see some images, but it would be better to film it, to see the behavior.

I used the swarm script of Apotheus Silverman.

forums-archive.secondlife.com/54/0c/9803/1.html

I changed a few parameters and the behavior or state (flex or not flex)of the rootprim to get some control over the swarm.

Still every moment hundreds go off sim and end up in Lost an found folder.

The Cubes are 10m x 10m x 10m and each edge is formed by a 10 x 0.2 x 0.2 m Prim . The Swarm traveled over 2 sims (a sim is 256x256x4096m ) the day later it seemed they used all 20 sims :-) .
