It was in June 2016 that I first visited The Gates of Tajukistan, and when the opportunity to return came of course I jumped at the opportunity looking forward to doing research into the huge stone statues.
Initialing I suffered frustration at being unable to locate the Gates; perhaps the shifting sands had buried them, perhaps I had the wrong location, it is easy to become disorientated in the desert. The local people, the Tahari Tajuks Nomads, were no help; but then I found something quite extraordinary, three huge elephant like figures! I asked the nomads if they could tell me about them, but none seemed to know their origin, simply referring to them as 'The Walkers' Perhaps like the Gates they were created by an earlier more technically advanced civilization details of whom are lost in the mists of time.. I am returning to England to try and obtaining funding for a more thorough scientific examination of the locality.
