A delicious latte from one of the cafe's I frequent! I hope you're all getting ready for the big day this Friday! Wish you all a joyful & love-filled day my friends! I try to compliment someone I don't know on a daily basis. Put a smile on their faces, you never know what they're going through, that may be the only kindness they receive. Plus it also makes me happy, so try & pass it forward, spread the love.
Let's all live fully by starting to check off the list on this chart & adding some of our own creative & joyful ideas my friends!

Wet patio and sidewalk outside Second Cup. I didn't walk as far as Starbucks today. We both needed a break :-)

After spending the morning shopping and finding some excellent deals on clothes, I met up with my parents for tea this afternoon. Mom's been out of town this week, so it was nice to catch up with her and hear the trials of being stuck in airport. Usually flight delays and cancellations are my specialty, but seems Mom is trying to take that away, and you know, I'm okay with that.
So, I didn't spend my day doing nothing. I'm not surprised, I'm very bad at doing nothing, I'm pretty much caught up with what I did decide to get done today though, so maybe tonight I'll sit down and play some Paper Mario or read a bit. Who knows.
Hope everyone has had a nice relaxing Saturday.
Oh also, my parents bought me an immersion blender today! Which was an amazing surprise and superb gift! It will ease the soup making process! Thanks Ma & Pa.

Un bon café chaud pour faire face aux tempêtes et vagues de froid qui déferlent présentement sur le Québec ! Dans ce cas, c'était un thé à la menthe !
A good hot coffee to cope with storms and cold waves that befell currently on Quebec! In this case, it was a mint tea!

"We want to do a lot of stuff; we're not in great shape. We didn't get a good night's sleep. We're a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup." - Jerry Seinfeld

Spent the morning going through the usual Saturday morning routine; breakfast with Nard, a few errands and some groceries before returning home.
Afterwards, I went out to pick up my Mom and spent the afternoon window shopping and browsing stores with her, and finally going for lattes. A pretty good way to spend a Saturday afternoon of on and off showers and it had been a long while since Ma and I actually hung out.
Hope everyone has had an enjoyable Saturday.

This is an older photo from summer of 2010. Here is the final version creation: www.flickr.com/photos/jrobblee/4702245780/
Thought it was neat to see it actual being created, and decided to to post it. Wish I had taken a photo of him pouring it! He did the eye, teeth and back scale with that instrument seen in the photo. Everything else was created by the pour.
i'm so late on my 9th week and I don't even have a reason for it. I just haven't picked up my camera recently as often as i'd like. I usually dedicate fridays - sundays for shooting something, but last week my friends and I went to a bar for a belated birthday celebration so I didn't even bring out my DSLR.
We are slowly being asked to learn how to do latte art for the customers and I'm now able to do a simple heart. But I'm too shy to ask the customers to let me take a photo of it before they take it away haha so for now I have no photo evidence of my skills! So for now, here's an even simpler design that I had the time to take a picture of before the cafe got busy.

Woke up with a nagging headache this morning, figured it would be best if I ignored it and went along with my plans for the day, after returning from a delicious breakfast with my parents and a shopping trip with my Mom my headache was still hanging around so I took some advil and sat by the window to enjoy the tea I'd acquired during the shopping trip. To be honest, I would have done the same thing with or without the headache. I needed a few minutes to sit and relax, seems this week has been none stop and I'm gearing up for a new one! I'll keep my finger's crossed that this week is a little slower paced :)
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

Exam time is coming soon. I like to go out and have coffee while studying. It seems that I am not the only I-like-to-study-in-coffee-shop-dude around...
This is the view of Côte-des-Neiges Road taken just outside Côte-des-Neiges Metro station in the Montreal neighbourhood of Côte-des-Neiges, looking south towards the intersection with Jean-Brillant Street and further towards Queen Mary, Rockhill Apartments, and Summit Park in Westmount, on one of the smaller peaks of Mount Royal.
This is one of my favourite looking-down-the-road-a-long-distance views in all of Montreal.

Police in 2015 have become more sophisticated when it comes to their stereotypical snack of choice. Instead of a regular old cup of coffee and doughnut, this policeman is standing on duty longing for an espresso and overpriced dry pastry from the local Second Cup.
(He was continuously staring at the Second Cup instead of watching the construction and traffic. It was pretty funny.)

A collage of the start to my lovely Sunday morning ♥ which I'm enjoying with great coffee & cigarettes. Today's brew is Butter Pecan coffee from Second Cup ~ brewed in the french press, as ever. Never had it before but I quite like it! Will buy again ♥ I love how dark with toxic tar the filter on my cig is in this one...very sexy.
Camera used: Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS
Settings: Macro for all; 'Super Vivid' colour setting for most. Top right & middle lower shots are with Tungsten white balance. Lower right shot is with the 'Soft Focus' setting.
Post-processing: Some cropping, bordering and a bit of size reduction in Fireworks...hence the lack of EXIF data.

Just how hipster can he be? Nard seems determined to find out.
Killing time after work this evening at a coffee shop while waiting to meet a friend for dinner. I was snapping random photos in anticipation of not having time to do so after dinner and thought this one of Nard was quite amusing so I'm going with it for today's photo.
Just a quick upload tonight as I'm getting home pretty late. I'll play catch up with your streams and such tomorrow sometime.
Hope you've all had a good Friday! It's finally the weekend!
