Pictured is a meeting in mid 1992 in the Presidents Palace, build as the vice kings palace in the 18th century.
At the head of the table sits President for Life Alexander Oskar Peren, dressed in the uniform of a Feldmarschall, delivering a speech to his cabinet.
The secondborn (legitimate) son of deceased President for Life Oskar August Peren he was selected by his father to suceed him due to the firstborn son, Leopold, being significantly less qualified, especially when it came to good ties to the military, an essential quality for any Norwistani head of state.
Before being build up as his father sucessor he served in the Norwistanische Nationalarmee, showing competence and earning the respect of his fellow officers. After becoming the designated sucessor he became first minister of defence then vice-president. During his time as vice president he made some vague statements interpreted as wanting to make the nation more democratic, but when the demon wars began he had other things to worry about, becoming the acting commander in chief due to his fathers age and tendency to delegete much of his responibilites to pursue his hobbies (cars and women).
When his father died in 1983 (rumor has it the cicumstances were similar to former french President Félix Faure) Alexander was "elected" President of Norwistan.
The years following him assuming office were shaped by the devestating demon wars that saw Norwistan lose much of the might it had gained after the Second Northern Emmerian War.
After the end of the demon wars he know focuses on rebuilding the coutnry and reforming the economy, if he ever had plans to democratize the country, he currently shows no signs of moving in this direction anytime soon.

The statue of the Virgin Mary whose submission to God's will allowed the New Adam to be born is standing above. She is often represented crushing the serpent underfoot, here the whole scene is developed around the tempter.
The halffemale body of the creature also recalls the story of Lilith, Adam's twin sister born like him out of the Original Hermaphrodite made of the same clay then torn apart. She was his mate who refused to submit and was thus replaced by Eve as Adam's companion. That the new woman was The Rib, secondborn and a mere extension of Adam's own body has consequences rooted in judeochristian mythology that go beyond symbolism.
Such a pity that this heater remained completely intact ( almost unheard of for these old kind of ceramic heaters ) for 70years.
It only took 1 year for my secondborn to completely destroy it.

Not what I intentioned for my 2nd SP, and a bit of thought would have perhaps had a more fitting background :)
Basically today I was trying on 'good' clothes for the first time since birthing the secondborn ( 10months ago ). The husband sprang a last minute business dinner on me that I am expected to attend, look smart and make witty conversation throughout.
It's this week, and I have no time nor money nor inclination for something new.
No frock fitted over the breastfeeding boosies, but lucky this skirt did - i've only worn it once and I love it so much. The shirt is a forgiving favourite ( no buttons ! ) that will let me eat, breathe and relax.
And no, i'm not a Bruce Springsteen fan, but I wanted to add a little something to the mix ;)

This gorgeous scarf was/is a gift from my dearly beloved friend Susanna for the foundling Nereida; she gave it to us when Nereida was about two weeks old (in March 2010), and it became Nereida's cuddly toy -- goat babies are not so different from human babies as we are used to believe: they need food & warmth & protection: they need a loving being who takes care of them: they need to be loved.
When I saw Nereida playing with the scarf which Aiolos, the Ruler of the Winds, had draped close to her favorite playground, I wondered what she was feeling while getting in touch with her former cuddly toy -- she was more cheerful and lighthearted than I have seen her for a long time, and my heart was overflowing with love and gratefulness...

He spent the whole Sunday afternoon slumbering and sleeping on a chair in the garden. I had put an old cat towel on the chair, wishing that he would feel cozy on this keepsake which bears a whole world of good memories & precious moments, and that he could reminisce about the Love we shared and always shall share.
Tabea, my beloved firstborn daughter, spent the whole afternoon at his side, caressing his tired body & talking to his divine Soul, and Samira, my beloved secondborn daughter, had been with us on Saturday, bringing along & giving away her unique loving light.
The girls had been eight and ten years old when Mephisto and his brother Merlin came to live with us: They have grown up together: They are siblings: soul siblings.
And I am their mother: Abra, Hebrew: mother of many.
And for the very first time I understand why the Gods dedicated this divine name to me.
And my heart is singing the most wonderful love songs...

The Battle of Hafrsfjord has traditionally been regarded as the battle
in which western Norway for the first time was unified under one
monarch.[1]
The national monument of Haraldshaugen was raised in 1872, to
commemorate the Battle of Hafrsfjord. In 1983, the monument and famous
landmark of The Swords in the Rock was designed by Fritz Røed and
raised at Hafrsfjord in memory of the battle.
Although most scholars currently tend to regard the unification as a
process lasting centuries, rather than being the result of a single
battle, the Battle of Hafrsfjord ranks high in the popular imagination
of Norway. It was the conclusion of King Harald I of Norway's
declaration to become the sole ruler of Norway. This battle may well
have been the largest in Norway up to that time and for a good while
after.
It was formerly believed that this battle was the decisive event in
the unification of Norway. According to Snorri's saga, King Harald
controlled large parts of Norway's southeast portion before the
battle; but other sources claim that the eastern portion of Norway was
under the Danish king. The Battle of Hafrsfjord marks the final
crushing of opposition from Norway's southwestern portion (primarily
Rogaland, but also chieftains from the Sognefjord area). This made it
possible for King Harald to subdue the country and collect taxes from
a large part of it. Later historiography regarded him as the first
legitimate King of Norway. Many of the defeated who would not submit
to Harald's rule emigrated to Iceland
The traditional dating of the event, 872, is a 19th century invention.
The exact year of the battle is likely to be unknown. This is due to
lack of sources, and partly because the Christian calendar was not
introduced at the time. The sagas follow the convention of counting
the number of winters passed since an event.
In the 1830s, the historian Rudolf Keyser counted the number of years
backwards from the battle of Svolder (AD 1000) in Heimskringla, dating
the battle to 872. Keyser's chronology was popularized by the works of
the historian P. A. Munch, and by that time still unchallenged, this
year was chosen for the millennial celebration of the unification of
the Norwegian state in 1872. In the 1920s, using similar methods as
Keyser but highly critical to the reliability of the sagas, the
historian Halvdan Koht dated the battle to about 900. For the next
fifty years, this chronology was regarded by most scholars as being
most likely. In the 1970s, the Icelandic historian Ólafia Einarsdóttir
concluded that the battle took place somewhere between 870 and 875.
However still disputed, most scholars will agree that the battle took
place during the 880s.

Behold the Niconian Goddess of Light!
Discovered by Jonathan C. Hayfeld in 1794, Niconia, this small pacific island conserves the essence of the technologically advanced and highly spiritual ancient culture of the Niconians. This statue represents one of their most powerful gods, the goddess Nikkra, the Secondborn, with her talisman of unearthy power, a highly advanced Nikon D80 camera with the Sacred Tube of Full of Emeralds of Sharpness And Light around her neck. As Hayfeld and his fellow archeologists found out with the help of the ancient Niconian scripts, Nikkra was the goddess of light and darkness. Nikkra was a cruel and erratic goddess, her anger was accompanied by luminance noise and chromatic aberrations, but her exhilaration was full of new lenses and much more megapixels. The followers of Nikkra celebrated her in the middle of the autumn, when the summer weather alters to cruel and erratic as the goddess herself.
