"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
While in Wichita, Kansas I went to the shooting range with my nephew
Richard. I got to shoot a .44 Magnum...Dirty Harry would be proud.

The tOkKa-inspired piece I've been tellin' y'all about, which, after much delay, is finally finished. It has to do with two things that represent me: the fact that I like B movies and the fact that I'm a conservative. Yes, that's me in the black MST3K shirt and blue jeans in the illustration. I'm the only one with the gun, as you can see, because I don't believe in strict gun control and/or the Second Amendment being revoked. The B movie monsters represent liberals that are either stuck-up or so consumed with their own media that they won't give McCain a chance. I guess the monsters could have names if you wanted to be creative: Square Steve, Triangle Ted, Hodgepodge Hank, Oval Oswald, and Circle Clyde. So yeah, basically a political commentary on how I feel about liberals.
The original idea for this wasn't a political one, but a B movie/MST3K-focused one more or less. Still would've tOkKa-inspired but regarded quite differently. I figured since Halloween and the election is coming up, I'd kill two birds with one stone. The former having to do with B movies.
I just wanted to express how I currently feel and have done so in a very unusual as well as creative way.
First time I've used watercolors in years by the way.

Thousands of people, led by a gleaming white coffin, marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on June 2 to protest the high level of gun violence in the United States and demand stricter gun controls. The march was part of a national day of action against gun violence.

U.S. Sen. Mark Begich today joined Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Jeff Flake (R-Arizona), and Mark Pryor (D-Arkansas) to introduce legislation to clarify circumstances under which a person loses the right to receive or possess firearms based on mental illness. The legislation, The NICS Reporting Improvement Act of 2013, enjoys strong support from the National Rifle Association (NRA).
“I’m pleased that we have been able to bring together unlikely allies from outside the building and produce a common-sense, bipartisan bill that will help keep our communities safe while protecting our Second Amendment rights,” Begich said. “I have worked side by side with both the NRA and the mental health community to ensure that this bill will help keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people without stigmatizing the mentally ill or taking away individual rights. I hope today’s announcement serves as a reminder that if we roll up our sleeves and work together, we can still get things done around here.”

This is photo was made with my old Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4 lens. It was made in 1972 or 1973. It is quite scratched, dusty and maybe even has a little fungus growing, along with damaged coatings.
Nonetheless, it is fun to play with. I performed a crude AI-modification to the aperture ring (I used a file). The lens now works perfectly with my Nikon D600 (full metering and focus confirmation).

This is from my Information Policy class. One side of the class argued the Second Amendment as it stands, protecting guns. The other side argued the Alternative Second Amendment, protecting books. In the end we came to an compromised Revised Second Amendment. It was really fun and interesting to see the process of arguing two ideas which seem to be at odds with each other.

Although it took nearly a week and a half to just get the order printed..... I am completely satisfied with my "Let Freedom Reign" and " Land of the Free" tee shirts.
The shirts are very durable but I have noticed they tend to run a little big for woman's sizing. While Im wearing the shirts at school I hope I not to piss off TOO many people with the word "God" printed on the back.. .... Just kidding I don't care! Thanks again!!
