Year 1 of the Second Age -

The War of Wrath had destroyed most of the elven realm of Beleriand at the end of the First Age. The surviving elves who chose to remain in Middle-Earth founded the port city of Mithlond, also known as the Grey Havens, in the realm of Lindon. It was a major port used frequently by the Númenoreans during the raging war against Sauron in the Second Age.

The Grey Havens was ruled by the Telerin Elf Círdan. He was a great mariner and shipwright who was born in the Years of the Trees and maintained the honor of being the first owner of Narya, one of the Three Elven Rings. Círdan served as lieutenant under Gil-Galad, the last High King of the Noldor, and fought at the Battle of Dagorlad.

The Grey Havens and Círdan remained relatively quiet but important during the Third Age and The War of the Ring. It was the port where the Ring-bearers: Gandalf, Elrond, Galadriel, Bilbo and Frodo set sail across the Grear Sea to Valinor.

Year 1697-1700 of the Second Age - The Siege of Imladris

Following the devastating assault on Eregion, caused by Sauron and his minions, Elrond fled to Imladris, or Rivendell, a valley north of the Misty Mountains. Knowing that Elrond would try to ambush him from behind, Sauron sent a small force of orcs to Rivendell to end lay waste to the refuge. Elrond, along with the remaining forces of Eregion and the Elves of Lindon. The elves eventually destroyed their enemies, and managed to crush Sauron's forces along with a great host of Numenoreans, ending the War of the Elves and Sauron at the Battle of the Gwathló. When the war ended, Eregion was gone, and most of Eriador destroyed.

This city was the first permanent Númenorean establishement founded in the year 750 of the Second Age by Crown Prince Aldarion on the estuary of the river Gwathló. From here, Aldarion's 'Guild of Venturers' (with their ship Eämbar as their guildhouse) began harvesting the local timber for ship-building.

250 years later, Lond Daer is a thriving city and the Guild of Venturers is responsible for the largest shipbuilding industry in Middle-Earth. But this success comes at a price: the deforestation of the outlying regions, Enedwaith and Minhiriath, became cataclysmic, angering the native Dunlending population. Now war is imminent!

Númenor was the kingdom of the Númenóreans and subsequently the Dúnedain, located on an island in the Great Sea, between Middle-earth and Aman. Elendil, son of the leader of the Faithful during the reign of Ar-Pharazôn, his sons and his followers had been warned of the disaster that was to befall Númenor, and they had set sail in nine ships before the island fell. They landed in Middle-earth, and founded the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor. and in 3319y SA the shape of the world was changed from flat to round which caused Númenor to be covered by great waves and sank into the abyss, killing its inhabitants.

I am proud to present to you my installment of the #secondagecollab . The moc will be displayed at the Norwegian convention På kloss hold this weekend.

Year 3434 of the Second Age - The Battle of Dagorlad

After The Dark Lord Sauron launched an assault on Gondor in 3429 to lay waste to his enemies the Dunedain, Elendil, Gil-Galad and the dwarves of Durin's Folk formed the Last Alliance of Men and Elves in response. The great army of the free people's of Middle-Earth met at Amon Sul, and marched across the Misty Mountains, past Lothlorien and Greenwood and towards the Black Gate. Here they were joined by Anarion, the youngest son of Elendil, and his forces, who had for many years been defending Osgiliath and Gondor from the armies of Mordor, while Elendil and Gil-Galad laid the plans for the assault. In the year 3434, the armies of the Last Alliance and Sauron's forces fought by the great open plan between the Dead marshes and Cirith Gorgor. After a raging battle that lasted for months, the Last Alliance pushed the forces of Mordor back, and was able to enter the land themselves. Here they established camps, and began the Siege of Barad Dur. This battle lasted seven years, and took a heavy toll on the Last Alliance killing both Anarion, Elendil and Gil-Galad. The War of the Last Alliance and Sauron ended when Isildur cut the ring off Sauron's hand with the hilt-shard of his sword, Narsil.

Here is the addition from yours truly to the Second Age Collaboration organized by Olav. I'm going to be honest about a few things. This build although it might not look like it pushed me to the limit in terms of building it. I've been busy with other projects and life that when it came time to building this, I just went for it. I had planned on how I wanted to work on the build and got the design for the most part ready. Building it was the challenge as I needed to do it in a short period of time. The end result came out perfect and fits well in my opinion with the amazing collaboration.

This was the final episode of our collab, so thanks to everyone who has followed our collab and given it attention. A special thanks to all the builders themselves for creating such a great collab, as a follow up to Third Age. Be sure to give them a round of applause and follow all of them. We would also like to sincerely thank Blaine's World for sponsoring our collaboration!

This cozy inn on the outskirts of Lond Daer is known by it's specially brewed blue wines. The Numenorian soldiers especially enjoy this wine after a hard day's work partroling the borders of this middle Earth city. Now war is imminent they'll never know if this is their last..

So when I started building Lond Daer early 2019 for the @secondagecollab I wanted to do my first interior ever. I haven't done any interiors before, so it was about time 😅

The interior was completed simultaneously with the rest of the build but wasn't clearly visible. So before Lond Daer was completely torn apart I had to redesign a section of the house to make the interior visible and take some beauty shots.

I hope you'll like what you see and I'll get back to work on my Venice Italy moc 😊

2019 was a wild year! It was definitely my best year in this amazing LEGO community! I wanted to share a few highlights!

The year started out with planning and building for the Second Age Collaboration! After the success of Third Age, we wanted to dive deeper into the lore of Middle-Earth! I was able to build The Siege of Imladris, and this is my favorite MOC that I've built to date. And overall the collaboration was a lot of fun!

Then in June I was able to attend BrickWorld Chicago! It was my first time that I was able to display at a LEGO convention and I had the time of my life! I met so many amazing people that I knew online, and made tons of memories! Shoutout to my RebelLUG hydrohomies! My Second Age MOC was also nominated for Best Medieval Building!

One huge highlight of BrickWorld, and 2019 was building for the Laceropes Mission! It was such a cool experience to display a collaboration in person and then release it online a week later! And it was a huge success! I built In the Dark - The Laceropes Mission Part 5 and this is also a favorite MOC of mine!

My problem is that I have too many ideas and not enough time to build them. One idea of mine that I started was the Island of Discovery series. It was supposed to be a three part series, with a story, where I make a vignette, and pack as much detail as possible. I finished the first two parts and I'm very pleased with them. (Part three will be coming this year)

Shipwrecked (part 1/3)

Questions (part 2/3)

Later in the fall there was, RebelLUG's Vignweek challenge. It was a lot of fun building a vignette-a-day, but very tiring. My favorites from that week were: Gladiators, I received second place for the day on this one. And Twisted, and I recieved first place on this vignette for the day!

And then I closed out 2019 with a Star Wars MOC: Good Soldiers Follow Orders

Thank you to all who made 2019 incredible!

Soli Deo Gloria!

-Caleb

Year 3262 of the Second Age—Sauron Taken Captive to Númenor

Over three millennia had passed since Númenor was raised from the Great Sea. The great power and responsibility vested in the men of Númenor had begun to corrupt their hearts against the Valar and created an insatiable lust for dominance over all. In SA 3261, the vastly powerful and prideful King Ar-Pharazôn sailed with a great host of warships and soldiers to Middle-Earth, landing at the haven of Umbar and marching uncontested eastward to Mordor. It was said that even the mightiest servants of Sauron quaked and fled at the sound of hundreds of thousands of Númenórean boots marching across the land. Sauron quickly assumed a fair form (not unlike that of an elf) and surrendered to the king, secretly devising a plan to bring about the downfall of this race of men from within. The fleet sailed back to their home in SA 3262 and landed at the majestic haven of Rómenna, the principal port of the island nation located on the eastern shore of Númenor. Sauron was led off the flagship in chains and met by a host of soldiers to bring him to the capital of Armenolos, thus spelling doom for the once-great nation.

Greetings Barthezz Brick

Hey everyone! 2019 was a pretty great year as far as Lego goes. I finished 19 builds this year (which is actually a low for me), some of which I would say are my best.

-I completed The Grey Havens for the Second Age Collab in February last year. The Grey Havens is probably my favorite build I've done so far. :)

-I made Duel on Takodana for a Star Wars contest on Lego Ideas. It was fun to try some simple functions on that one.

-Later on I competed in the Summer Joust, which was awesome as always. I got second in the ruins category and an honorable mention in the Middle Eastern category.

-I built a mech for Mech Monday which I enjoyed.

-I recently entered four creations in the CCC. One of which was a mosaic, which was new for me and turned out alright.

-My last creation this year was The Watermill of Terant, and is one of my favorite builds from this year.

-I also got to meet Ty this summer which was awesome!

-I made an alternate account for posting bonus pictures, WIPs, or whatever I feel like posting. So if you enjoy that kind of stuff feel free to check it out!

I graduate this spring and don't know what the future holds, but I'll try my best to stay active and build when I can! You guys are the best, thanks a ton!

Which of of my builds from 2019 was your favorite?

Also, big thanks to Caleb for making the collage for me!

All glory to my Savior Jesus Christ!
