Un angolo di Dolomiti che non avevo ancora visitato. Magnifiche, imponenti, verticali... le Odle!
Devo essere grato a mia figlia Martina che ha scelto questo itinerario. All'arrivo alla sommità dell'Alpe Seceda, nuvole dispettose le hanno avvolte e ce le hanno nascoste, nascondendo anche la val di Funes, temevano di non riuscire a vederle. Abbiamo avuto la pazienza di aspettare e d eccole lì davanti a noi.

After a rainy day at the Fermeda hut below the Seceda, the sky cleared towards the west just before sunset. The evening sun bathed the mountains opposite and the fog rising from the valley (Val Gardena) into a golden light, a magical moment.
Nach einem Regentag auf der Fermeda-Hütte unterhalb der Seceda klarte der Himmel kurz vor Sonnenuntergang gegen Westen auf. Die Abendsonne tauchte die gegenüberliegenden Berge und die aus dem Grödnertal aufsteigenden Nebel in ein goldenes Licht, ein magischer Moment.

A peaceful day on Lech Sant on the Mastlé-Alm below the Seceda.
The Lech Sant is a small mountain lake at the northern foot of the "Pitschberg" in S. Cristina in Val Gardena. The Ladin field name "Lech Sant" means "Holy Lake" in English, to which this name refers, but is not known. Today it is a protected natural monument (source: Wikipedia).
Ein beschaulicher Tag am Lech Sant auf der Mastlé-Alm unterhalb der Seceda.
Der Lech Sant ist ein kleiner Bergsee am nördlichen Fuße des Pitschberges in St. Christina in Gröden. Der ladinische Flurname „Lech Sant“ bedeutet auf Deutsch „Heiliger See“, worauf sich dieser Name bezieht, ist jedoch nicht bekannt. Heute ist er ein geschütztes Naturdenkmal (Quelle: Wikipedia).

Attested since 1770 in the form of Lang Kofel - means "long stone". The latter is also the only peak that can be reached via the path between the eight that make up the group, characterized by almost steep slopes along the entire perimeter. In 1992 Ivo Rabanser also opened a route on the north face, near via Soldà , extremely difficult called "via Monumento".
In the first light on a small pond not far from the Fermeda hut, where we spent a few days exactly a year ago.

We recently stayed for 4 days on the Fermeda hut below the Seceda or above St. Christina in Val Gardena on approx. 2100 m, a perfect starting point for hikes and taking photos in the best light (www.fermeda.com/en/Default.asp).
In the picture a small pond only 3 minutes away from the Fermeda hut, about 20 minutes before sunrise on a pretty gray morning (panorama from 6 vertical shots).
Wir wohnten kürzlich 4 Tage auf der Fermeda-Hütte unterhalb der Seceda bzw. oberhalb von St. Christina im Grödnertal auf rd. 2100 m, ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und zum fotografieren im besten Licht (www.fermeda.com/de/Default.asp).
Im Bild ein kleiner Teich nur 3 Minuten von der Fermeda-Hütte entfernt, ca. 20 Minuten vor Sonnenaufgang an einem ziemlich grauen Morgen (Panorama aus 6 vertikalen Bildern).

Of course, I did not pass this well-known and much photographed spot on my last trip to the Dolomites.
Shortly before sunset, the sun disappeared behind dark clouds and I had already packed the equipment and started on the way down. Looking back, I saw a streak of pink in the sky ... so go back to the beginning.
Later we went with headlamps down to the Fermeda hut ... and the dinner there tasted especially good.
Natürlich kam ich bei der letzten Dolomitenreise nicht an diesem bekannten und viel fotografierten Spot vorbei.
Kurz vor Sonnenuntergang verschwand die Sonne hinter dunklen Wolken und ich hatte das Equipment bereits eingepackt und startete auf den Weg nach unten. Ein Blick zurück und ich sah, wie sich ein Streifen am Himmel rosa färbte...also alles wieder zurück auf Anfang.
Später gingen wir mit Stirnlampen hinunter zur Fermedahütte...und das Abendessen dort schmeckte besonders gut.

Monte Pic/Pitschberg (2363 m) is a mountain that rises above Santa Cristina in Val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites. It’s easy to overlook Monte Pic because it looks like a hill compared to its impressive neighbors.
Der Pitschberg (ladinisch Pic) ist ein 2363 m hoher Berg in Südtirol (Italien). Er befindet sich nördlich von St. Christina und ist ein Richtung Gröden vorgeschobener Ausläufer der Geislergruppe in den Dolomiten. Der Pitschberg grenzt im Norden an die Seceda-Alm, im Osten an die Mastlé-Alm, im Süden an die Sëurasass-Wiesen und im Westen fallen die sagenumwobenen Ausläufer Balest und Col de Flam nach St. Ulrich ab (Quelle: Wikipedia).

The quaint Brogles-hut is a alpine hut and is located on the Brogles Alm above the village Villnöß northwest of the Geisler Group/Dolomites.
In the meantime, the hut has been rebuilt and renovated and looks like this:

Die urige Brogleshütte ist eine Schutzhütte und befindet sich auf der Brogles-Alm oberhalb der Gemeinde Villnöß nordwestlich der Geislergruppe/Dolomiten.
Inzwischen ist die Hütte umgebaut und renoviert und sieht so aus:
