MYANMAR, Burma - Mandalay-Amarapura auf, unter und neben der U-Bein-Brücke.
Die U-Bein-Brücke ist ein Fußgängerübergang, der den Taungthaman-See in der Nähe von Amarapura in Myanmar quert. Die 1,2 Kilometer lange Brücke wurde um 1850 erbaut und gilt als älteste und längste Teakholz-Brücke der Welt. Der Beginn des Baus fällt in die Zeit, als die Hauptstadt des Königreichs Ava nach Amarapura verlegt wurde.
Den Namen hat die Brücke von Bürgermeister U Bein, der ihren Bau in Auftrag gab.[ Die Brücke ist auch in der heutigen Zeit eine wichtige Verbindung für die lokale Bevölkerung. Da sie von vielen Touristen besucht wird, versuchen Souvenir-Verkäufer gerne auf und an der Brücke Geschäfte zu machen. Viel Andrang herrscht im Juli und August; dann steht der Seespiegel am höchsten.
Zum Bau der Brücke wurde Holz aus dem ehemaligen Königspalast in Inwa verwendet. Über 1.086 Pfähle wurden in den Seegrund gerammt; einige wurden inzwischen durch Betonpfeiler ersetzt.
Hallstatt Lake (Hallstätter See) is a lake in Upper Austria at the northern foot of the Dachstein Massif at 508 meters above sea level. On the west bank is the town of Hallstatt, famous for its salt mining since prehistoric times and the world's oldest still operating industrial brine pipeline. The lake stretches from south to north, is 7.5 km long and has a maximum width of 1.4 km. The area is about 8.55 km² and the average depth is 65 m.
Hallstatt Lake with the town of Hallstatt on its western shore was entered in 1997 on the UNESCO World Heritage List Hallstatt-Dachstein.

Der Pagodenwald liegt westlich des Inle-Sees und ist über einen Kanal erreichbar. Die ältesten Grab-Stupas dieses Friedhofs stammen aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, aber auch heute noch werden neue Stupas gebaut. Immer mehr alte Monumente sind inzwischen renoviert, und so hat sich ein buntes Gemisch aus Gold, Stuck und nacktem, manchmal bewachsenem Backstein entwickelt.

The pagoda forest is west of Inle Lake and can be reached via a canal. The oldest tomb stupas in this cemetery date back to the 17th century[1] but new stupas are still being built today. More and more old monuments have now been renovated, resulting in a colorful mix of gold, stucco and bare, sometimes overgrown brick.

Der Millstätter See ist ein See nördlich des Drautals bei Spittal in Kärnten (Österreich). Er liegt in 588 m Seehöhe, ist 11,5 Kilometer lang und bis zu 1,8 Kilometer breit und nach dem Wörthersee Kärntens zweitgrößter, mit 141 m tiefster und mit 1204,5 Millionen Kubikmetern wasserreichster See.[3] Größere Ansiedlungen am See finden sich ausschließlich am Nordufer, darunter sind Seeboden, Millstatt und Döbriach die drei größten Ortschaften.

The butterfly is usually active for three generations: the first generation is active from the beginning of April to the end of June (with a peak in May), the second and third generations are active from the end of June to the end of September (with a peak between July 10 and 20 August). In favorable circumstances, even a fourth generation can fly out!
Betonica officinalis
Betonie is a good maternity plant with nectar and pollen for bees (including solitary bees such as the Great Wool Bee and Andoorn Bee), bumblebees and hoverflies. Random butterfly species also like to feast on the nectar.
The wind started to blow stronger and the clouds rolled in! Yet it was beautiful to me and the clouds were absolutely gorgeous to see!

Appostato con il capannino mobile vicino alla solita pozzetta d'acqua piovana in mezzo al bosco, alimentata dalle mie taniche nei periodi secchi. Stavo provando a fare i primi scatti con la nuova macchina fotografica e quando ho avuto nel mirino questo passeriforme non potevo credere ai miei occhi, un Organetto in Abruzzo non lo avevo mai visto e fortuna ha voluto che tornasse per ben 7 volte ad abbeverarsi vicino la mia postazione. Il mio amico inanellatore mi ha confermato che è la prima osservazione in assoluto di questa specie per la mia regione. Ogni tanto un po' di fortuna non guasta. Abruzzo - PNGSL
Appointed with the mobile shed near the usual rainwater in the middle of the woods, fed by my tanks in dry periods. I was trying to make the first shots with my new car and when I saw in the viewfinder this passeriform I could not believe it, an Redpoll in Abruzzo I had never seen it and luck would have come back for a good 7 times to drink near my station. My ringing friend confirmed to me that this is the first ever observation of this species for my region. Sometimes a little luck does not hurt.

With an area of 44 hectares, Lake Antholz (Lago di Anterselva) is the third largest mountain lake in South Tyrol. The lake is located at the end of the Anterselva Valley at an altitude of 1642 meters.

#Sliders Sunday
An einem sonnigen Herbsttag waren wir am Tegeler See. Dort hatten wir vor langer Zeit unsere 15 qm. Wanderjolle liegen. Mit Wehmut habe ich mich an die Urlaube/ Wochenenden erinnert, die wir und auf den Gewässern in (West) Berlin verbrachten. Ein Segelboot aus Holz, keine Kajüte, geschlafen wurde auf Luftmatratzen, gekocht auf einem kleinen Bunsenbrenner.
Am frühen Morgen waren die Angler in ihren Ruderbooten in der Nähe, leichter Nebell lag über dem See und am Abend konnten wir die schönen Sonnenuntergänge erleben. Heute heißt es! Es war einmal……!

On a sunny autumn day we were at the Tegeler See. A long time ago we had our 15 sqm. Wandering dinghy. With nostalgia I remembered the holidays/weekends we spent on the waters in (West) Berlin. A wooden sailing boat, no cabin, sleeping on air mattresses, cooking on a small Bunsen burner.
In the early morning, the anglers were nearby in their rowing boats, light fog ag over the lake and in the evening we could experience the beautiful sunsets. Today it was once......!

Par un jour d'automne ensoleillé, nous étions au Tegeler See. Il y a longtemps, nous avions notre maison de 15 m². Dinghy errant. Avec nostalgie, je me suis souvenu des vacances/week-ends que nous passions sur les eaux à Berlin (Ouest). Un voilier en bois, sans cabine, dormant sur des matelas pneumatiques, cuisinant sur un petit bec Bunsen.
Tôt le matin, les pêcheurs à la ligne se trouvaient à proximité dans leurs bateaux à rames, un léger brouillard agitait le lac et le soir, nous pouvions assister à de magnifiques couchers de soleil. Aujourd'hui, c'était une fois...... !

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesdays is hearts. This is perfect since we have Mr. Teddy Bear and Princess with us to celebrate love and most importantly Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays !
As we all know by now, Princess and Teddy Bear are very much in love. But like in many relationships, Mr. Teddy Bear is the most romantic one… He loves surprising his Princess with lovely surprises. This week, he decorated his orange apartment with hearts… Hearts are everywhere and the whole decor screams : love !
But Princess was very confused: Valentine’s Day isn’t in March ! Why all those hearts then ? Why decorating for Valentine’s Day one year ahead ? It is way to early !
But for Mr. Teddy Bear everyday is Valentine’s Day when he is with Princess…. and the 2 just kissed under a beautiful red heart.
But I have a meeting this morning and i need my coffee so I will not be able to continue that story … and it is a family friendly Photostream so we will not be able to see what happens after the kiss ;-).

What you see in this shot is water, except for one dry spot. I used a red peace of shiny paper and held it above the spot to create that one red spot. A shot for my minimalistic fans :-)
Aangezien het blijkbaar niet helemaal te volgen is wat hierboven staat omschreven in het Engels, hierbij ook even in het Nederlands. Op de foto zie je een klein stukje waar geen water is waardoor je een soort van gat ziet. Erboven heb ik (buiten beeld) een rood glinsterend stukje papier gehouden dat zorgt voor het rode kleurtje. Ik hoop dat het zo duidelijk is.
