One way to spend your retirement.

One of the restaurants where I had lunch/dinner. I made it a point to eat at local places, and NOT chain restaurants. This place has apparently been here forever, and the food proved why.

Yes, a train really does go up and down that track, from somewhere near the border to somewhere close to L.A. Next time I go to San Diego, I'll make it a point to take that train.

Another one of my breakfast spots. Still cloudy and a bit cool because it's early, but it cleared off within about an hour. My table was outside, just to the left of the open side door.
