Santa Rosa, CA - After all these years I had no idea that Darth Vader likes to drive is his Jeep on his off-time. More specially, I had no idea he had a Jeep.
I spent a few days with my friend, Curt, (4DURT here on Flickr) up at his new place in Mariposa. We both have a few RC cars, so we posed just the Jeeps on his 1/1 scale Wrangler Rubicon.
I have two other 1/10 scale RC cars and Curt has several more.

Starting off of my 2016 Death Valley trip with a silly photo. Both Curt and I have 1/10 scale RC Jeeps (as well as 1/1 scale ones, too). We were hiking out to a rock art site near Red Mountain and decided to run the RC Jeeps. Along the way, I seem to have picked up a passenger! The horned lizard road along for about a half mile before he decided he'd had enough, and jumped out.

I have finally bitten the bullet and without all legal papers sorted, I have gone off and purchased a highly coveted and highly sought after 70 Series Land Cruiser. While I would rather have the HZJ79 Double Cab Pickup, this single cab came at the right price and is equipped with the same 4.5L V8 turbo diesel, the 1VD-FTV. This one, as it was told and sold to me as, previously owned by the late Steve Irwin (RIP). The family estate was moving out some older vehicles as they have full access to the brand new 2016 LC70 Single Cab Chassis WorkMate Toyota Land Cruiser that is equipped with the 4.5 litre V8 Turbo-diesel. The entire 70-Series fleet is not and has never been available in the USA! That is why I love the Toyota: Bring the 70 Series Land Cruiser and Diesels to the USA page!!!! While this rig is a bit older, it is only slightly modified as you can see by the massive brush bar out front. The other item you may notice is the weird IFS front end. Maybe Toyota makes this version for the Australian market?
