The Colorado River sculpts a route past the Little Colorado confluence, Cape Solitude to the left, and Chuar Butte to the right. In a mere 6 million years the Colorado has carved through and laid bare, in a breathtaking manner, about 1.75 billion years of earth history.
"Historic, Vintage and Antique"
Trevor Carpenter Photography Challenge.
I am seriously trying to learn this method of Light painting, or Light sculpting or raking with light. It isn't as easy as it looks. But this was a serious attempt at trying to get something for the theme, Historic, Vintage and Antique. I have a long way to go before I am satisfied but only a week to submit something for the challenge. So, here you have it, some of my dad's old tools and maybe they might have been my grandfather's.
7 kg of sheet lead rolled out. Lead is currently my preferred medium when sculpting. Processed in macOS High Sierra photo editor.

There's only a few more days till I present my photos taken in the Hawai'ian Islands to my neighbors here in our mobile home park, and usually I have so many photos that I have to whittle down the total amount for the presentation, in which I usually present about 90 or so images along with narration which I write to fit the time frame. About a half hour.
For my presentation on Hawai'i, called "Tropical Paradise", I picked about 70 images, and that's almost too few, so I've been adding more to the presentation (and to my social media feeds, thus the avalanche of Hawai'i photos lately.
I like this image so much I posted it as my cover for my Facebook Photography site. I remember the day well, and I remember circling this driftwood structure, constructed by someone with driftwood on the beach, for which Lydgate Beach Park is known. As usual, this was one of the images I skipped over when posting the photos from my 2023 trip to Kaua'i, so it's brand new even though it's a few years old!
Several of these indented welded areas featured every few feet on a metal boat sitting on a dock in Steveston Harbour. Each seemed to function as a work of art in their own rite.

Captured during a very enjoyable evening with fellow photographers Sean Lewis, Alan Frost and Gerry Gavigan and I have to say that the dunes were a fair challenge. For me it did't really come together until the last rays of sunlight began to work their magic sculpting the subtle ripples and texture in the sand. I'd like to have stayed a little longer but there was real danger that my car would end up the wrong side of a padlocked gate. I made it with seconds to spare.

This shot was taken from the same point than the previous one: the Peñalen Bridge. However, in this case the camera was looking to the opposite side of the bridge. Parque Natural del Alto Tajo, Guadalajara (Spain).

Not had time to get out for any photos this week so heres one from Seascale beach a couple of weeks ago. The sand sculpted into waves by the sea caught my eye and I thought it would make an interesting image.
I love this doll. Her soft coloring, her honey blonde, highlighted hair, her facial expression, that soft hair. She models and photographs beautifully. There is something very serene about the Imogen sculpt and they captured it beautifully in this doll.
Working hard creating some fabulous ice sculptures on Spark's Street Mall, downtown Ottawa, in tme for the Winterlude festivities that kicked-off yesterday.
Hey guy's,
Sorry for my lack of uploading stuff. I've been going through a lot lately and customizing wasn't my number one priority. But now that I have some time on my hands, I can finally go back to my hobby!
Here is my finished Vader sculpt! I was gonna post him before the premierre of episode 7 (Which was amazing btw!) but like I said, I didn't have a lot of time.
Currently I'm working on two other sculpts, one which is about 90% finished and the other probably around 60%.
I hope you guy's like him! He won't be painted soon, as I want to spray paint him black instead of using a brush (Saving some time) but I still have to purchase a can.
Cheers!

I've redesigned existing character Dread Pirate Margot'chelle Rumscupper using bits and pieces from a variety of sources. The body is a Jiaoudoll 10E. The head sculpt is a SuperDuck SDH021B.
If you think you catch a glimpse of a pointed ear, you're correct; Margot'chelle has joined the Elven Pirate krewe.

Here is the Series 18 minifig everyone is talking about right now; mostly because there is only one in a box, and completist colectors have to complete.
Personally, I don't think this is the fig we'll be talking about in 6 months time. There's nothing wrong with this fig, and he does certainly come with a big sweet dollop of nostalgia, but he lacks the raw fun that others in Series 18 have.
The printed tile showing set 600 is a nice touch, and easily one of my favourite parts from this series, and part of me wonders if it could have been spun out a little further with a mini buildable car. As is though? Love it.
