Pseudobalistes fuscus
- The blue triggerfish / rippled triggerfish
I have been trying to photograph this elusive fish for many years.
They are very shy fish. They always seem to seek shelter in the reef when aproached.

an underwater photo on a regular Wednesday...
a wreck in the Mediterranean Sea, somewhere between Lampedusa, Tunisia and Lybia, fully overgrown and an oasis of Life on this sandy bottom.
Unfortunately, also a lot of Ghost Nets.
in early summer, a Team from SDSS, Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving with the support of DWS at site to remove some nets.
you might lern more about the project "Deep Blue Legacy" on the above Youtube-link.

Acording to Dr Sami Merilaita, these eyespots may be beneficial underwater. One idea is that they could possibly divert predator attacks by misdirecting the predator to a less vulnerable part of the prey’s body. For example, Instead of feeding on the rhinophores or gills - it bites the fake eye which might have toxins.

I could sit here all day starring at this dramatic display of swirling tannic water mixing in with the crystal blue spring water at Little River in Branford, FL.
Each millisecond offers a new artistic canopy as the flooded river water seeks to intrude into the cave system. Moods of the Mother depicts the many wonderful facets of creation.
Here we see my buddy Guy making his way through the ever changing color scheme to enter below the old tree lodged into the entryway.
The tree is where we divers will often cling, to prevent ourselves from blowing out of this high flow cave, when we need to serve a decompression obligation. It has also become an icon in its own right.
I shot and uploaded this image on Aug. 3, 2018.

Bievertail (93 pictures)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I've got this wetsuit for spearfishing in the Mediterranean. Never had a beavertail suit before and its quite nice to wear, but unfortunately this suit does not fit me as expected. Also two pieces with 5mm neopren each gives a extremly thick and heavy suit with much more isolation than I need. So I will sell this suit and probably go with a one-piece triathlon wetsuit.
Anyhow, taking these pictures was very sweaty but I had a lot of fun! Hope you like it!
