Every day, every hour, I wish that I was bullet proof.

One of Red's offsprings, Scruffy is a tough little gal for her size. Georgina chases her away from the fishing hole regularly, but there is rarely any fighting just a bit of snarling. Scruf was limping badly one morning she really seemed to be suffering. Georgina watched her then walked over, we were not sure what to expect. Georgina escorted her away from the river till they met the forest edge, Scruf disappeared into the forest and Georgina seemed satisfied. We couldn't believe our eyes a bear showing empathy for another. She could have chased her or attacked her but no this time a gentle escort. I was fighting back the tears I was so touched by her compassion.

We saw Scruffy a few days later her foot had healed to the point where she could stand on it with no visible issues.

Thank you for your comments, views and favs, I know she isn't the prettiest bear out there but I love them all ...equally :)

Cheers,

Mel

Hey guys!

Before i start this off i want to say some good news! i'm making a light box! i'm gonna make the background green, might change for some photos but mostly the customs are going to have a green background. Tell me what you think!

Alrighty! remember, i'm sorry if i don't have everyone who entered. there was alot of people who entered witch i'm so grateful for because when i first announced it, not many wanted to enter. maybe it was that i wasn't very popular ( i only had around 90 followers) and now that i kept trying. I found that people are actually starting to well...i don't know how to put it :P uh.. accept me? shit, that's a bit chezzie haha.

But seriously guys I need to thank everyone for getting me to almost 200 followers :) means alot.

alright.

First place gets two customs made by me.

Second gets one.

Third gets my purple guy. little ugly but hey its the thought that counts xD.

(everyone who entered is added to the photo.)

First place: TheMooseFigs. Congrats man. your Man Bat custom was amazing. I will start with the legs. They show alot of time and effort and great painting with the scratches and the cutting sides off to make his legs look more animal like.

His face looks amazing eyebrows looks great and teeth are a great detail to make it look even better :) Wacky inflatable arm waving tube men arms looks cool too by the way ;)

Just FM me the customs you want. can be anything. just please go easy on me xD

Second place: now i had to give Mr. Begote this one :)

He put alot of dedication into around 3 customs just for this contest! and since i cant review all of them, im just going to do a old jedi mind trick. "You will go to his channel...you then will follow him... you now will keep reading..."

Third place: AFreakOfLego. Last place go's to one of my good friends Henry. (hope hes still my friend xD) Since i think you deserve more and i feel terrible that you get a ugly pedo custom. im gonna give you another small special part when i send you it. Now to the review. Since fallout is my second favorite series of games, i love this custom soo very much. and you did him justice! pipboy looks really detailed. i like the little spots and lights you painted on, jacket looks perfect in my opinion. scrufs and dirt looks suitable to add since hes in the wastland and stuff. beard looks great. cuts and scratches on the face looks great too. looks like he seen stuff he cant forget xD. good work dude :)

Big thanks to everyone who entered. sorry if you never made it to first or second or third but here's the honorable mentions: GemJim,JSparkySteel, Alien Hunter,Chris W and Jason cullen.

Btw i dont know if campervantom entered. he said he did soo sorry if i never noticed :)

kay by.

edit:

Its hard to be original these days. Everyone gets there ideas from something they saw or heard or felt. People have the same ideas (something i've more so now realized) as someone else. We are all human and think the same! For the most part that is :)

This is just showing that lately some ideas i have had for my 52 project have been popping up lately by some other photographers. But that doesnt mean im not going to do them or stop!

i liked how this turned out.

www.grafflix.co.uk updated once again come check out the flickage. Always more to come!

www.Grafflix.co.uk very small update. Had been neglecting the picadilly line this year, so head up there. Not to much new stuff and with the low light this time of year, not the greatest photos either.

Arrived at my spot around 10:30AM, left at 6:10PM.

A little over 80F. and a light breeze. Perfect weather for hanging out for a few hours. There were a couple cars there, but I didn't see any people besides one guy who kept getting in/out of his Jeep. Okay, whatever.

10 minutes after getting there I heard the first train coming around the bend, and what a train it was, couple engines, and 78 autoracks in a row! What a way to start of my day.

15-20 minutes after I got to the spot, I messaged my friend Keith @railfanscajonpass that I was out there, he said he was on his way, he got there an hour or so later. By that time I'd already flicked 7-8 trains. One of the busiest days I've had in a long time. They just kept coming up and down the hill. I had planned to hike up the hill to look for a couple other spots to shoot from, but the trains just kept coming.

There's also some great under the bridges graff out at this spot, and I just didn't have time to hike over to it and flick it. There's also a spot close by that the RR stores ties, track, and equipment, I wanted to get some shots of that, again, no time.

Anyway, RRfans,(Keith) & Buddy hung out for another 5-6 hours until the sun dipped behind the mountains at about 6:00pm, and it was starting to get dark. Spent the day waiting, and listening for the engines chugging up the hill, or the horns blaring in the distance so we could finally jump up and do what we were both there to do. Him to film the trains and give his commentary, and me to get my flicks. He's a good dude to hang out with, good conversation, talk about life, problems, trains, etc.. Time just goes by so quick until the next train and we both get to work.

Saw lots of trucks, motorcycles, and loads of Jeeps drive through to go out exploring the local trails only to leave within' 20 minutes or so. There's miles and miles of trails out there, but it seems people get bored fast...

Had a great time, saw pieces from some of my favorite writers, and some writers I talk to occasionally.

It was a great day, and day I really needed personally, I've had a rough last few weeks, and I haven't been trackside in over a month. It was great to get out to the familiar sounds and smells of being out there next to the trains.

Backgrounds at this location are kind of boring, but the amount of freights and great pieces that come through here is crazy.

new update featuring 1st great western, central and district line

It was only an ok burger. I contemplated getting a 2nd burger from Huxtaburger to compare, or a hot chocolate from Monsieur Truffe, or a pop-up scroll shop, or banh mi from Nhu Lan :P

School Photo Day Form 2b2 or 3b2 - Best clothes please - Who cares!

This is either the second or third year. Two of us from the "A" were send down to thee "B" stream in the second year.

Two be or not two be that is the question, but only we know the answer.

The reason for several of our right shoulders been lower than the duffel bags we often carried on that shoulder. (is it too late to put in a claim?).

For the second year onwards, I had grown out of my blazer, it was never replaced, the only boy in the photo that has a blazer, had not yet outgrown it.

Dave (Lumberjack shirt) Leighfield has shot up in height, we were about the same height when we arrived.

Life was much better, almost no homework, and most lessons we were just there to pass the day. Most General Science lessons we sat and watched a film whilst the science teacher (female) marked the books of the 'A' form, just raising her head at odd time to tell us to quieten down. A mixed form of boys and girls in the dark...........I think we did biology on our own, without a teacher explaining the facts. The life and cycle of the amoeba did not seem to have much to do with our lives.

Often sitting with our hands on our heads in silence, just like the infants.

'Joe 90' was our Form teacher that year, probably the smartest dressed of all the teachers

(Back Row) Martyn Foot, Peter Dash, Simon Curtis, David Leighfield, David People, Philip Howard, David Brown?, John Fairbanks.

(Middle Row) Nigel Smith, Clive Pottinger, Stephen Kitteridge, Gary Bowles, David Reed, Carl Featherstone.

the only girl I can name is Yasmin Norman-Thorpe. The others I have all been told the names of: Pamela Horsell, Leah Caster, Mary Nokes, Teresa, Shelly.

I think that year girls were in short supply)

If there are names to correct please list.

Is it really true that Nigel married Yasmin

Note to 'Joe 90' (Science teacher) do not set fire to long lengths of magnesium wire, only a very small piece is needed.

Also, remember to put the sticks of phosphorus back in their jar once you have cut off your piece, and don't leave them out whilst you do something else.

The headmaster got a little cross when one of our form, brought his large German Shepherd dog to school after being caned.

I knew the dog was not fierce, but I don't think the headmaster wanted to find out.

End of year prank was to sell the metal school gates to the local scrap man.

I bet those who now go to Warneford, can't believe that we looked such a bunch of scruffs, not having a school uniform - but folks, most of the staff could also dress as scrufs.

And one of the best teachers Mr Smith - Rural Studies - RIP
