MEDITATION
“Imagine yourself sitting with Jesus when word comes that His relatives want to see Him. As He speaks, Jesus gestures toward you with a warm smile: “Here is my brother and sister and mother.” How would that make you feel?
“This isn’t just your imagination. It’s true! Through God’s free gift, you have been brought into a family relationship with Him.
“…To be a brother or sister of Jesus is both a fact about who you already are and a calling toward who you will become as you “take on the family resemblance” more and more. If you have been baptized, you have been “born again” as a son or daughter of God (John 3:4). And as this family member whom Jesus looks at with love, you are also called to love God and do His Will more and more each day.
“…How can you do God’s Will today? By doing the simple tasks that God gives you each day. By calling to mind Jesus’ presence with you as you work. By asking Him for the Grace to perform those deeds with a Loving, Cheerful heart, and offering them to the Lord. These shifts in attitude can change your experience, turning drudgery into Joyful service. Whether they feel pleasant or trying, these decisions to do God’s Will in company with Jesus will bring you even more deeply into your Father’s Loving Embrace.”

R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned…
Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness; in the greatness of your compassion wipe out my offense.
Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me. R.

MEDITATION
"Without ceasing? At all? Obviously, Paul is not talking about praying all day long. Rather, he is calling us to faithfulness in prayer and asking us to develop a prayerful disposition for our lives. Paul knows that prayer is the best way to stay close to God, so it’s worth scheduling time every day to make sure we are coming into God’s presence...
“Praying without ceasing means getting into the habit of praying a few times during the day: when you wake up, when you go to Mass, before lunch and dinner, and before bed. One psalm even tells us to pray seven times a day (Psalm 119:164)! Of course, this doesn’t always have to be a structured prayer time! Rather, it means trying to maintain a spirit of prayer. If we could just stop a few times during our day and turn to the Lord, we would be amazed at the difference it makes. Jesus is our best example of this. Whether he was performing a miracle, preaching a sermon, or arguing with his opponents, he kept his mind on his Father.
“Finally, praying without ceasing means living in a way that is consistent with our prayer. Caring for others, being just, developing our talents, doing good for other people, and helping the poor—these are all valid ways that we can continue to pray without ceasing.
That doesn’t seem too hard!"

I made this picture from a couple of pictures that were already on my Photo Impact program some time ago, incorporating the droplets; refraction; and the sparkles separately. In case you are wondering how the background was made, I just took the flower itself and enlarged it quite a bit while softening the edges of the fore-flower. It gave it a kind of luminescent look. What I had in mind while making this picture is how we are clothed in Jesus' Water and Blood/Righteousness like a robe encompassing us (once we repent and receive Him as such), causing the Heavenly Father to see us always in the radiant luminescent beauty of His Son while standing before the Heavenly Father's dazzling reflected light on us, making us sparkle with purity and innocence. There are three other colors I made of this flower combo at my site in Flickr if you'd like to take a gander at them. The original was hot pink (this one). But I like the purple the best since it is typically thought of as the color denoting royalty which is how I see Jesus' Clothes...He being clothed in royalty and then His imputing it to us.
I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these; how much more will He clothe you...with garments of salvation and array you in a robe of righteousness (Luke 12:27-28 and Isaiah 61:10, 1984 NIV)

Luke 8:16-18
Jesus said to the crowd: “No one who LIGHTS a lamp conceals it with a vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter MAY SEE THE LIGHT. For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to LIGHT. Take care, then, how you hear. To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away.”

MEDITATION
"God's LIGHT frees us from the blindness of sin so we can walk in Truth and Goodness God's GRACE not only illumines the darkness in our lives, but it also fills us with spiritual LIGHT, Joy, and Peace. Jesus used the image of a lamp to describe how His disciples are to live in the LIGHT of His Truth and LOVE. Just as natural LIGHT illumines the darkness and enables one to see visually, so the LIGHT of Christ shines in the hearts of believers and enables us to see the heavenly reality of God's kingdom. In fact, our mission is to be LIGHT-bearers of Christ so that others may see the Truth of the Gospel and be freed from the blindness of sin and deception." ~ www.dailyscripture.net

“…This can become your prayer as well!
“When you are faced with a situation that is causing you great anxiety and worry, you can run to the Lord…
“But this prayer is not just for crises! You can say it even when you’re just going about your daily tasks. At different points during the day, you can recall that God is close to you at all times and is always ready to welcome you. You can offer a prayer of praise that lasts just a few seconds. You can intercede for someone. You can ask for the grace to “do everything for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Or you can just whisper, “O Lord, I take refuge in you.”

I made this picture from a couple of pictures that were already on my Photo Impact program some time ago, incorporating the droplets; refraction; and the sparkles separately. In case you are wondering how the background was made, I just took the flower itself and enlarged it quite a bit while softening the edges of the fore-flower. It gave it a kind of luminescent look. What I had in mind while making this picture is how we are clothed in Jesus' Water and Blood/Righteousness like a robe encompassing us (once we repent and receive Him as such), causing the Heavenly Father to see us always in the radiant luminescent beauty of His Son while standing before the Heavenly Father's dazzling reflected light on us, making us sparkle with purity and innocence. There are three other colors I made of this flower combo at my site in Flickr if you'd like to take a gander at them. The original was hot pink (this one). But I like the purple the best since it is typically thought of as the color denoting royalty which is how I see Jesus' Clothes...He being clothed in royalty and then His imputing it to us.
I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these; how much more will He clothe you...with garments of salvation and array you in a robe of righteousness (Luke 12:27-28 and Isaiah 61:10, 1984 NIV)
