mesh wire screen (size 43) coated with light sensitive emulsion using a scoop coater (strong legs to balance screen against wall), image, glass----about to expose my image under the UV exposure unit. UV light hardens the emulsion and will not wash away while blocked image will wash away allowing ink through
We made some postcards for our trip to the HAmilton Wood Type Museum using my Kelsey 5x8 letterpress and screenprinting.

It was so tiring! screenprinting is a fantastic mix of creativity and getting down and dirty with big machines and chemicals.
