an assignment for elements studying pigments. I chose to focus on cmyk pigments and tried to replicate a photograph using screenprinting. in general it failed pretty miserably, but I really enjoy some of the messed up ones.

I finally got the opportunity to do some screenprinting, at Edinburgh Printmakers, and executed the first of what I hope will be a series of small editions, each being a "portrait" of a famous, or significant circuitboard.
Perhaps it is conceited, but this first one is my own Polarshield.

A mock up for my next screenprint/letterpress project. A planned five color screenprint. The large text is going to be letterpressed in tint base (or perhaps a translucent white).
I really really really hope I can pull this off.
The first set of 3 cards in the Studio MIKMIK Pattern Studies Series. Each card is hand printed in two colours using a Gocco PG-11 machine.
This set is titled Saltaire In Stone. The Saltaire in Stone series of pattern studies draw their inspiration from the Italianate architecture found within the UNESCO World Heritage village of Saltaire, West Yorkshire. A wealth of archways, columns and stone flowers can be discovered in the village, a testament to the stonemason’s art.
These are now available in the Studio MIKMIK Etsy shop (see profile page).
I'm so in love with this print that I found at the thrift store the other day. It is by Nicholas Takis (1903-1965). It looks like he is actually a fairly well known painter, his original paintings sell for a good amount of money. I'm pretty sure this is a screen print though since it is on paper and is huge (20"x26"). It is weird that the image goes right up to the edge of the paper though. When I first looked at it I thought it said "Azusa Flower Mart" and I got all excited that it was a local scene from Azusa, CA but it really looks like it is says "Azulsa Flower Mart" or "Azulea Flower Mart." If any one knows any more about the subject or the artist please let me know. Thanks.
Went in the Drawn In Bristol print studio last week - knocked a bunch of these out.
roughly A3-sized.
Finally we uploaded this screenprint with its very fine details in a high resuolution so that you can read and recognize everything.

This was a simple two-color screenprint that I did for Diverseworks’ 2007 Luck of the Draw charity art auction.
My new business cards! I screenprinted them last night. The card can be cut up to make a little man, with four varieties: devil, sad guy, cat, and a blank so you can draw a face yourself.
Screenprint based on the vintage cans that were outside my office for a while. The beer names and taglines are made up and the type is hand drawn - no fonts. This is the second in a six pack series. Three color with silver ink. 4.25 x 6.25.
