At this point, a female killdeer had laid two eggs in a scrape on the ground near Arnold Tower in Arnold, PA.
She went on to lay four eggs. Three of them hatched. A fourth egg, left behind by the female, appeared to show signs of a pip.
I was a nervous wreck monitoring this nest since it was so close to people. There were a lot of feral cats in the area too. Between the broken wing distraction killdeers use and the female vigorously defending her eggs, all went mainly well.
Despite all my doubts, the killdeer taught me that it knew better about nest selection than I.
After the insulation has dried, another worker uses a scraper to scrape the foam from the interior side of the studs to allow for dry wall installation.

He was using that stick to carefully scrape the glue off the glass. And eat it. Either he likes the taste of the glue or this is the most lackadaisical escape attempt ever.
