A modern tower block in Istanbul, Turkey.

I made the grass sculpture when I first arrived as I didn't think the snow was any good. I took another look at it when I finished the snow sculptures and thought I would add some snow towers to finish it off.

I thought I would give you a little break today from the Thousand Islands and post another Toronto Skyline shot. Taken from Hanlan's Point on the islands. Literally one step further and I would have been in the water trying to frame the view with this tree! The Islands really are my absolute favourite part of Toronto.

The Toronto Islands (formerly known as Island of Hiawatha and is also known as Menecing) are a chain of small islands in the city of Toronto, Ontario. Comprising the only group of islands in the western part of Lake Ontario, the Toronto Islands are located just offshore from the city centre, and provide shelter for Toronto Harbour. The islands are a popular recreational destination, and are home to a small residential community and to the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. They are connected to the mainland by several ferry services.

I was amazed to see this Cat DW15 scraper in Northumberland recently. It must date from the late 1950's.

This started off as a duotone and then I kind of got carried away!

It was a cold minus 12 degree C kind of walk, to the Remembrance day ceremony at the park but worth every step to see so many people there.
