Another Freak Picturesque Nebraska July Thunderstorm. A True Photographic Storm Monster. Wicked good striations, and the scuds on the bottom of the outflow line looked like teeth.
Another Classic Outflow Dominate Nebraska Thunderstorm! 2011 Month of July has simply been over the top for storm photography. This was one of my best sets for the year.
Just to note...
My old Nikon D50 had some major issues.
Internal Lens was dirty.
It had been knocked over by the wind several times.
Had some permanent internal flares.
Tons of noise in the original captures. A few are little blurry due to the 45-50+ mph outflow winds. I couldn't keep the camera steady. Every pic here was worth it though!
It took long time to rework these images....
True Storm Chasing Eye Candy!

I was amazed to see this Cat DW15 scraper in Northumberland recently. It must date from the late 1950's.
This was the first time that I have really experimented with long exposure,I think it turned out ok and considering I had no tripod also,i am pleased with my effort.
It was a cold minus 12 degree C kind of walk, to the Remembrance day ceremony at the park but worth every step to see so many people there.
