I'm all out of black and white film now and I'm sad.
I can't order anymore for a couple weeks. I have some Portra to shoot but just don't feel as inspired. I'm so picky with color film, I just dont want to pull the trigger unless it's really colorful and something that will look great on film like skin tones or something. I'll have to find a willing model I suppose.

We met a relative of the artist as we were viewing the sculptures. And one of her friends, who lives in Via's town! What are the odds?
What's a scraper? That thing in the athlete's hand, which he uses to scrape off sweat and sand after competition.
This is one of the gun tools for the USS Monitor's XI-Inch Dahlgrens. The bore scraper was used to clean accumulated gunpowder residue from the interior of the gun, thus improving the weapon's efficiency.
Resembles a piece of farm equipment, but is used to scrape a thin layer of biofilm from the top of the filter after head loss is excessive.

Millenium Tower and 50 Fremont Street, the fourth and fifth tallest buildings in San Francisco. Two tower reaching for the heavens. I love the straight upward reaching lines. They're powerful and dramatic, yet clean, graceful and elegant.
What made me happy today:
- Biking through town and watching tourists enjoying their rented bikes, looking at the channels, taking pictures of eachother;
- Sitting in the garden in the sun, reading the paper;
- Making pictures of our own sky scrapers and thinking of this summer when, the three of us, will (re)visit....New York!!!
Sorry, I was one happy camper today...dull, but happy. Hope you liked the whole weather-outdoors-experience too!
