The Bonfire Yell is one of the highlights of the annual Scouting Camporee. The boy scouts and girl scouts of SFAMSC show off their talents in dance, acting, and singing as they perform their cheers and yells exulting the values of scouting and challenging the other patrols to do better with friendly jabs that help spark healthy competition. To give their very best performance, each patrol dedicate many days to choreograph and practice their yells. This activity helps develop important life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, creativity, and the strength of character to be able to perform publicly. Audiences are usually surprised so see once timid and shy students shine and give it their all in the Bonfire Yell.
Bristol M1C Monoplane Scout at the RAF Museum, Cosford, Shropshire, 8 July 2020. The Scout was a very advanced fighter when it entered service in 1917 with the RFC. It was extremely fast, manoevrable and could be easily built. However, both the War Office and the RFC had an inherent mistrust of monoplanes (despite the success of the Fokker Eindecker) and only 125 production models were built, used mainly in the Balkans and the Middle East rather than the Western Front. Nonetheless, those pilots who did fly it appreciated its fine qualities.
Every year in February Scouts New Zealand holds a National Mud Slide. As our area is very dry this time of year ours is a water slide, but no less fun.

So here’s pic of my Skipper boy I’m nicknaming Scout with his sculpted hair painted and sanded and stuff. His hair sculpt was heavily based on vintage Allan’s though it’s not perfect in reproducing it.
But hey, Scout can sort of fit in with my vintage collection now lol.

I've not done a poster for a long while but I've had several go into Explore over the last few weeks. Scout says I've got 110 (in and dropped) but since I joined Flickr I've actually had 122 ~ see my Explore set
I so LOVE that there is a local chapter of the Girl Scouts here in Paris. It's very sweet that they carry on the tradition so far from home. These were ordered for a graduation ceremony this evening for a group of 2nd and 3rd graders who are Brownies. They are all combinations off my Black & Whites menu. The design with the stars and stripes is taken from the Paris Girl Scout logo.
