This is the Scout. 25 yrs old. Diesel. FROM California. Parked in a garage near Ballston Lake, NY waiting for ITS triumphant return to the Bay Area. Looks mighty comfortable for a 3000 mile drive.
WHY drive across the country? I'm not really qualified to answer. Kai can add a comment to explain it. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with an epic journey it made some years ago with newly married Kai and Margie from California to Ballston Lake.
Three children and many great friends later, it's time to go back home.
Not sure why I'm going this time. Maybe a little practicality (VERY LITTLE) has crept in... and throwing the three children in back for a 60 hour drive wouldn't work? I'm not complaining...yet.
