Scout scarf or neckerchief day is celebrated on August the 1st
Scout scarfs are part of scout`s uniform, and it is generally a ceremonial item so we have a day to celebrate scout scarf, and to bring up all memories that they kept within.

Scout's Swag Sock Yarn in Socktoberfest
50% Superwash Merino - 50% Tencel
Fingering/Light Sport - 375 yds
I swapped this skein with a terrific woman on Ravelry. I sent her books, she sent me yarn. A great deal!
I like the colors. It is definitely more grey than the black in the photos on Scout's site. My guess is that because it is 50% tencel, it means the color didn't take as much in those areas. I found that with my Dexter yarn in the bamboo blend, it was lighter than the other 100% wool ones. So I think that is a property of the non-wool fibers in it.
The purple is yummy too. I definitely think I need to order some more Scout yarn. I love a bunch of her colorways.
I just need to figure out what to knit with it!
