To celebrate being back from vacation and having the dogs back home we decided to have a fire. Scout loves sitting on the picnic table and watching what everyone is doing. Have a great week everyone!
Scout troopers were specially trained soldiers of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. As light-armored variants of the Imperial stormtroopers, scout troopers were specifically trained for activities too complicated for regular infantry troopers. As such, they were exceptional additions to the Imperial Military as reconnaissance troops, spies and survivalists. They were especially excellent marksmen, and thus they were regarded as the finest snipers in service to the Galactic Empire. Hence, they were particularly useful as assassins.

Another day, another story about the wolf. I'm pretty fed up about the whole thing by now, but that doesn't help. A hunter in the forest here at Ormsta got scared when the wolf came too close. He had to call in his friends and the four of them then walked away from the area with the wolf following them closely. There's a Facebook group listing all wolf observations and a lot of people seems really scared of the animal. One local politician has said publicly that she wants the wolf to be put down. So far it has killed a few lambs and one cat. I have told my cat to be careful when she's out and about but she didn't seem too worried. The wolf in question is equipped with a GPS device and every 72 hours it sends info back to Norway. Some people now say that there's in fact two wolfs running around eager to kill and eat their babies, but I'm not convinced about that yet. But I did see a report over the weekend that the wolf had been spotted near a farm with cattle and that it had closed in on the cows.

Scout happily ranges over about an acre out at the cabin site, but whether she is chasing chipmunks or rolling in leaves, mud, or other things I'd rather not mention, she always stays where she can see me. That's one of two rules she has out there.
1. Stay where you can see me.
2. Stay off the road.
The road gets between 1-5 cars an hour except on weekends and during hunting season, so I am not unduly worried about her getting hit, more worried about her getting in with someone. She's very friendly and loves to ride.
It's hard to believe she'll be 10 years old this summer. So much has happened to our family in those 10 short years.
She is my self appointed body-guard and can sound really ferocious as both the mailman and UPS drivers have found out. But if I let her out, she's all smiles and friendly as can be.
