There's not enough shrinking tube in the KIT, so better get some yourself.
Please note that a new hardware version of this device has been released, therefore these images will most likely not apply to it.
Juvenile. Not badius, niloticus or nubicus, but still nice birds…

From Flickr Commons. I am creating a set of these amazing Scopes Trial photos so that my friends can more easily view them all.

Door County, WI: Peninsula State Park--view from the Eagle Tower observation deck looking at the trees and the waters of Green Bay. The park gets more visitors annually than Yellowstone!
Door County is a Midwest vacation destination and has over 250 miles of coastline.

Switching to a CMOS-based 555 chip (here a TS555IN) gives nearly perfect square waves at about 83 kHz, compared to about 75 kHz using the same circuit and a regular NE555. Frequency in Hz from inverse of (2 microseconds per division * 6 divisions for a wavelength) - confirmed by frequency count on a digital multimeter.
It also reduced current consumption from about 9 millamps to about 1.5 milliamps.
Coming into focus... Still not close to the quality of my images from the last apparition, but this is my best image so far from the 2015/16 apparition of Jupiter. Slightly better seeing today, and Jupiter's increasing apparent size and brightness made for an improved result over recent images.
Two images from 5000-frame avis (50% stacked) combined in WinJUPOS. Nexstar 6SE scope with Neximage camera and 2x Barlow.
Jupiter was magnitude -1.99 and 35.1" in diameter.
A technique I created using the BA monopod on the BA M21, to have a sniper lying on his side, looking directly down the scope.
After I got my first order of Brickarms, I finally decided to mod one. This was simple, just try it. I cut off a scope from one of those dorky star wars laser pistols and glued it on top. It was a little messy, but I managed to disguise it fairly well with a little black Games Workshop paint.
