Ich sollte letztens diese eine Orchidee bei meiner Tante fotografieren.
Sie hat sie schon lange und wie man sieht, bilden sich da ganz neue Triebe. Sie ist sehr stolz auf ihre Orchideenpracht. Irgendwann muss ich mal ihr Fenster fotografieren. Das sieht nähmlich aus wie ein Orchideen-dschungel.
Finally, I should photograph this an orchid at my aunt.
She has long and as you can see, quite new shoots emerge. She is very proud of its orchid splendour. At some point I must photograph her window time. Namely, it looks like an orchid jungle.

Absolutely worth a visit with magnificent gardens and Scone Abbey which saw the crowning of Scottish Kings.

I made some apple-caramel-cinnamon scones (see previous image for info) and put some on a plate. Three's a crowd, so I ate one.

Historische Bedeutung der Lage
Auf dem Moot Hill, der Name leitet sich vom gälischen Tom-a-mhoid ab, wurde der Stein von Scone aufbewahrt, auf dem die Könige Schottlands gekrönt wurden. Auch als König Edward I. 1296 den Stein an sich nahm und in der Westminster Abbey in den eigenen Königsthron einarbeiten ließ, stand hier der schottische Krönungsthron.
Geschichte
Um das Jahr 1120 wurde an der Stelle des heutigen Palastes das erste schottische Augustinerkloster gegründet. Der Palast des Abtes war häufig auch Unterkunft der schottischen Königsfamilie. 1210 gründete Wilhelm der Löwe in der Nähe von Scone ein königliches Dorf an der Stelle, wo heute die Stadt Perth steht. Am 27. Juni 1559 plünderten fanatische John-Knox-Anhänger das Kloster. 1808 wurde unter der Leitung von William Atkinson für die Earls of Mansfield das heutige Schloss erbaut. wiki
On the way from Dalby to Stanthorpe, we travelled through back country west of Warwick where we have never been before. The country roads out there can be quite confusing, but we avoided getting lost because of another instance of bad road signage thanks to some helpful locals. As usual, the little town of Leyburn had a Country Women's Association facility, in this case a rather old hall made from narrow corrugated tin (as we call it...zinc coated steel of course). Goodness knows what it looks like inside, rather iconic as usual with these buildings although it must be awfully hot in summer. I love the bench outside!
